Moira and moneylender bug
« on: July 26, 2007, 08:39:46 AM »
Well, I was doing quest for the temple (Dawn ring). So I went up the CC roof. At the center, a woman who I supposed was Moira addressed me. The problem is that all she say is "Given the nature of magical item I brought back, it shall be difficult to divide them per..." Though I don't know what she was talking about, the conversation choices were clear enough and the quest log explained them for me. (BTW the voice acting were fine though.)
So, I went to CC for cecille the money lender next. However, he also have this same message as his only conversation!
Moreover, both of the character name tag also showed this message.

What happened? ???

I am currently running patched BG2+ToB with G3 FixPack.
Mod.
- G3 Tweakpack (selected components)
- Unfinished business
- Quest Pack (of course...)
- Ascension (shouldn't involved)
- Slightly Improved Ilyich
- Kelsey
- Saerileth
- NPC banter pack
- Flirt pack
- NPC Kit
- eSeries
- gMinions
- Virtue

It's not a bug, or not anything that can be traced as such. Your dialog strings are out of order. It can be caused by installing mods improperly, or by uninstalling and reinstalling mods mid-game (esp. if you change the order) but sometimes it happens even when you're pretty sure you did everything right.

NPC mods often include a string-fixer for just such situations. I don't know what to do about quest mods with disordered dialogues. All I can really tell you is that it isn't a bug with QP.
