BEGIN Useless rant
Yet another indication that the last bastion of civil (or un-civil) society/community is PPG and G3. The pity from the beginning of any of these boards (and even comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.strategic) is that there seems to be something ugly hardwired into most humans, where the infinite loop is
work=>person=>pride=>blindness/sensitivity=>fanaticism=>farcture=>work
instead of
work=>person=>pride=>
IF debate GOTO resolve
IF insult GOTO ignore
IF stupidity THEN ignore
IF resolve GOTO work
IF ignore GOTO work
Look, even I'm doing it... I just dissed SHS, BWL, etc., pridefully and blindly lumping all other modding communites together as "not-PPG or G3" without even thinking or making allowances.
That's what kept me lurking for years rather than posting or getting involved in actually trying to assist finishing modding projects, so that the supposed objective (the end user gets more or different working content, with the game world influenced by the modder) is accomplished.

(hmm.. writing this stuff down does actually make one feel better, even when there is no point.)
