That scene where Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy make Bane and he kind of inflates like some sort of grotesque laytex balloon man . . . that makes me sick every time I watch it. I hate it. I hate him. I want to pop him with a pin.

That's exactly the scene I was thinking of!! That's so cool!! Hahaa. I get really excited when there's a mental connection between myself and another perosn. Thinking the exact same thing. That's so cool. Thank you for this moment :D

About holidays being money-making scams by the government..

My grandpa had a theory that Hallmark was a money-making scam, and holidays only played into it. The longest conversation I ever had with him was when he was telling me that my mother wasn't always a nutjob, and that conversation lasted about two minutes. All I know about his theory is that it may or may not have had something to do with the lack of birthday/holiday cards (and gifts, haha), and the year he gave me a Merry Christmas card for my birthday which he signed "Happy New Year." Multitasking? Killing three birds with one stone? Bad hangover?
We'll never know, but it's certainly more interesting than Bex, Joe and Earl arguing ;)

Fcm, do you remember which Batman film that was? I know it's not Batman Forever, 'cause that one had Jim Carey as the Joker (he did a great job), and Batman Returns has The Penguin. Perhaps just plain Batman?
I haven't seen that movie in years. Crazy how the time goes by. We used to have great movies (the best were black and white) and now they're just two-hour car chases, sword fights, and sex scenes. And terrible plot. And even worse acting.

To be on topic, I will comment on the ridiculousl high prices on roses, especially during Valentine's Day. I suggest you all buy one later in the year and stick it in your freezer. You can keep batteries around that way; should work with flowers, too.

Mr. Freeze could pull it off..

Jon, we are not arguing. We are discussing. And if you read my last post, you can see I have clearly finished.

melora: it's a joke. "Sucky" is a great word, and I am undyingly grateful to the person who brought it into use. I would have used Manly Pink, but we don't have it, and I refuse to use Wussy Pink. It's hard to read. Sorry for the confusion.

No, you're right. It's Batman Forever -- with Robin and all that. I remember it as "the one Tim Buron directed." It had Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Mr. Freeze, AND The Riddler. Truely a tour-de-force. I had a crush on Chris O'Donnell because of that movie, but that was back when I was in second or third grade, so it's almost forgiveable. But anyway, I've seen some good movies recently . . . new ones. Wallace and Grommit was good. :)

You can't freeze flowers! That'll kill them. Mr. Freeze could only do it because Mr. Freeze was played by Ahnald, whom we all know has Vin Diesel-like powers. BUT NOT NEARLY AS AWESOME. Of course.

Roses are produced in nearly the same way as chocolate, depending on where you get them from. That reminds me of a scene in Maria Full of Grace, where she vomits all over the roses she's pruning and they make her wash them off and they just ship them out. I can never get that out of my head. Vomit might be preferable to the ammount of pesticides on them, though . . .

Valentine's Day is just plain evil, isn't it? Next we'll all learn that the cards are printed on pure old-growth rainforest trees and the ink is unicorn & orphan blood.

Umm, no, Batman Forever just had the Riddler teamed up with Two-Face and their Mind Control thingy.

Batman and Robin is the one with Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy.

And Batman Forever wasn't directed by Tim Burton. Only "Batman" and "Batman Returns" were. Joel Schumacher ruined the entire franchise with "Batman Forever" and "Batman and Robin" so much so that the next film had to be a reboot of the whole story ("Batman Begins").

Fcm, they couldn't have had all those bad guys (you can't use the word 'villian' when talking about something as sophisticated as Batman) in one movie! It would be pretty neat, but I just don't think they'd do it. ???

Maybe I'll hop on Google again and see what I can find out..

Aha!
http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&q=Batman%20Mr.%20Freeze&btnG=Google+Search&sa=N&tab=wi

Found it. It was Batman and Robin. And it really is just Batman, Robin, Poison Ivy and Mr. Freeze.   And that murdering poison-filled balloon Bane.

I should work for the CIA :)

Edit:  Oh, and Catgirl is there, too. Er no, that'd be Batgirl. Catgirl is in Spiderman, right?

Do any of the remember the old Batman and Robin TV show from the nineties? Batman and Robin had great $10 costumes and, if I remember correctly, they worked in an office instead of the Batcave. And there was Mission: Impossible, and Wonderwoman.. There may have been one more. I haven't seen those shows since I was a child.

If you knew the shows they would probably jump out at you.

I know what the Nineties were. I am questioning that there was a live-action Batman show on during that time.

IMDB did me wrong, or I can't reald or something. That, and I distinctly remember changing "Batman Forever" to "Batman and Robin" in a post edit, as well.

Oh well. I got that one really wrong regardless. Hahahaha.

Anyway, Batman and Robin, yeah. Tim Burton. Yeah. The perfect Valentine's Day gift.
