Sorry for the potentially useless new topic but I wanted to thank you for starting this great project! It's really something I was missing for Baldur's Gate! Thanks to all you involved in this! I am looking forward to Unfinished Businness for TotSC, sure that TuTu will take good advantage of it once it's released. I am looking forward both to this and Idobek's BG1 Fixpack. Two mods that will be a real revolution (together with Echon's FotD) for TotSC! Thanks again, guys!  ;)

BG1 unfinished business isn't listed on pocketplane.net at all :-[. How can that be?

If it was a secret project, having a public forum for it would probably not be the best of plans. :)

I think Maurauder's referring to the fact that it's not listed under Mods in Progress on the PPG main homepage.

Yeah, I got that. Probably due to a memory lapse or something.

Since this project is officially addressed to the mainstream and can't be considered a secret, I would really really love to read of possible steps ahead from Icelus, The Man, and Echon (I won't say The Woman...  :P), the danish hero, from time to time... 8) Thanks a lot, guys!!

You have a bottomless bag of holding right?

Does a bag of holding leak?

If so could we have a bottomless jar of holding instead?

Hello, Icelus&C!

I don't mean to bug you but since I hold this project in the highest esteem, I'd be extremely, extremely grateful (and I am sure it's not just I) if from time to time you could drop a couple of lines to tell how it is going.

I check here everyday hoping to find some good news... ;D

I can even see that some of the quests have been restored by you and magic Sim so I wonder if it would be possible to release a working beta or something like that for testing reasons... ;)

Thank you very much for your attention!

Progress has been stagnant for a bit.  There are some things that have been restored, so, should worse come to worse, *something* can be released and the mod shall never have the dubious honor of being labeled "vaporware."  The Thanksgiving holidays are coming up here in the US, so I really hope to find the motivation to, you know, work.  :)

Icelus,

thank you very much for your reply. I do hope that you will find the right motivation and that development can continue because this is not a "common" mod but it is what I would call a "must have" to BG1/TotSC once it's complete.

It would be so sad to see it wasted. I know sometimes it's hard to concentrate and focus on something and I feel bad at burdening other people with my wishes but if there is something I really would like to see under the Christmas Three is BG1 Unfinished Business!  :-[  That would make a great present!

I hope you and SimDing0 can stimulate each other (ehm...I hope what I meant is clear here...) and restore some more broken stuff. Thanks again, Icelus!

Not really sure...

There hints, rumors, and allegations that there was more to the Ulcaster School than what made it into the game, but I think an Ulcaster School expansion is more than I want to do for UB.  The Ulcaster School, however, like the Gnoll Stronghold, are two areas that are just screaming for expansion--or at least gesturing emphatically.  I'll look for scrapped dialog that might be associated with Icharyd, though.

its things like this that put the original baldur's gate down but when you think of it, the original baldurs gate was FAR better much more mysterious, breathtaking, and gripping the new one was like

ugly guy tryin to kill you
save siser
get souls back
have dinner
....

but blunt  but heh, but if there was any non-tutu expansions/add-ons such and such i would defentlty download them, feilds of the dead was good, but i didnt REALLY like it

anyway enough chit-chat
my opinion is out

Why non-tutu?

But yes, I see your point. I think it's widely agreed that BG had a very special feel of 'trotting around the countryside, looking for a ruin-or-something we can clear of monsters, to make the world a safer place.', instead of BG2's, whole idea of cramming us down into one boring dungeon after another, fighting all sorts of shit that made no sense!!!

ok, ranting over...

I am a huge fan of BG1/TotSC which I enjoyed much more than BG2/ToB!

And here I am speaking of unmodded version of both games.

The magic with TuTu is that we can improve the first game to make it even better!

And the level of customization is so high that it's almost impossible to fail in this.

I love kits but I understand some people might not want them. Don't install them.

People love (not me particularly but many) high quality banters and interjections. There is BG1 NPC for this which works only on TuTu.

Most people love a cleaner, better graphic engine. This is something that you cannot take away but I believe it's just great...

The game still keeps the feeling of the original thanks also to great auxiliary Mods like TuTuGUI, TuTuSounds. We can have the same, superior music that we get in BG1.

Aigleborgne is working on a great Mod which will boost AI to levels that can't be probably reached by the BG1 engine due to some limitations (although Echon has been great with his FotD!).

The guys working on TuTu and TuTufixes are heroes and put a lot of effort to make it more and more stable and bug free. It will take time but a final result is around the corner.

Plus SimDing0 has announced Virtue for TuTu. I am gonna love that!

So, all in all, I love BG1 original concept. It's just great. It's superior to BG2, no doubt. It's funnier and deeper and more interesting.

But it *is* possible to make it even better, so why not ?  ;)

Thanks!

P.S. Icelus' UB will be another great, wonderful addition!

those three (BG1NPC banter pack, tutugui, tutusounds) work also on BGT

PS. If Sim is going to make Virtue for tutu now instead of using his considerable coding skills to fix tutu 6 I'm gonna follow him around the forum and post  >:( everytime. ;)

If I have found the Tiax Rap and the Amnish Soldier Rap (both very very appropriate for SlidMang0's Hip-Hop mod), but nobody else I've ever heard of has ever even heard of the existence of such things (or at least, not that they've mentioned to me), does that count as implemented or unimplemented? Easter Egg to the 4th power?
