Strange bug with Imoen in a new game

I thought I'd start a new game on a cloned install, so as to have my choice of parties to play with on slightly different mod builds, but it's not working out as I'd planned.

I was using a clone made with the Multi-Install Tool, but certain things absolutely refused to install, so I wound up copying the Data (for Virtue) and Music (for Keto)folders to the alternate directory (I have a shiny new harddrive, so no big deal). Everything seemed to go fine from that point forward.

The only mod I've installed that I've never used before is Song and Silence, and the basic install order is almost identical to my main game, which has been working really well. The only other additions are Keto and GB's Improved Thief Stronghold.

So I get my new character going and discover that Imoen's ability to use items is oddly (and drastically) hindered. She can't equip a blade, a bow, or darts, but arrows can still be placed in her quiver. She also can't use leather armour. Her class still displays as thief/mage, and thieving skills and spellcasting both seem to work fine.

My PC Swashbuckler, Minsc, and Jaheira all seem normal. I have no mods installed that specifically alter Imoen in any way. I'm not exactly far enough into the game to observe much else, and I'm hesitant to carry on with it, as it stands.

Has anyone ever seen such a thing before?

Well, what mods do you have installed?  There could be an explanation somewhere in that.

For future reference, the most likely culprit is a bad clone.

I couldn't fix the first install, but I recreated this stack on a second clone and it seems to be fine.

The only changes were bumping the Improved Thief Stronghold down so it was installed before Unfinished Business (where I actually meant to install it when I started), and using the banter gooser from Banterpack instead of Keto.

Neither change seems likely to be related to the bug I was experiencing.
