Problem installing IWD 2
« on: January 23, 2006, 06:25:15 AM »
Hi, I've got a problem: I wanted to install IWD 2 again, but it didn't work. On 47 % it breaks down and says something about minimal compression. I have Win XP and I tried the compatibility mode, but that won't work either. :( As the tips on the interplay site...
Does anybody here know this problem and perhaps a solution? I wouldn't want to give up IWD :(

No I tried to install ist on my various hard-disks, and there schuld be enough space.
In the error message it says it can't transist the components:
Component: Minimum Compressed
File Group: Minimum Compressed - Language Independent
File: Z:\data2.cab
Description: File (or data?) Error (CRC-Check)

My IWD is german, and so is the error-message, so I tried to translate it. For those who might understand german:

I have a P4 processor, 3 GHz and 1 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce 6800 GTO and a Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS soundcard if that helps.
