First ever: Golden Axe (dammit, it's an RPG, I had to get into the character of that scantily clad woman, shutup icelus, and she got more powerful as she went along, so it's an RPG, okay?)
First real: Never
First computer: Final Fantasy 7. Oh, I still love it.

I always played the dwarf :( What's a bird steed? Was it supposed to be seed or is it a kind of bird one can ride on?

Option number two - those things that you knocked the bad guys off and then rode. That dwarf would always steal my bird. Grrrrr.

That rings a bell... is that the one of the dolphin on the cover? I have it, but never played it.

@Eral: Quest 64 was a the first (and only?) RPG for the n64. It was very FF-like, in that monsters would randomly appear, the fighting style, etc, but it... was extremely dull, and the story was just horrid. And the final end boss is... big and purple.

I guess it is the same game. I liked that end boss. I found it's big purpleness fun. It may be that being in love affected my thinking, and I thus perceived the game to be fun, when it wasn't. I watched a lot of football in those days too, and enjoyed that. And I hate sport.
The question arises, if that game sank into the mists of time 12 years ago - does that mean we should all add about 10 years to you???

Since I started this, maybe should explain. By:
FIRST EVER I meant first encounter of something RPG-like
FIRST PROPER I was reffering to PnP RPG (possibly one published)

Sorry for the confusion dear lady.

Apparetly You don't have the same silly set of word associations as myself. Oh, and Ghreyfain was not sure on page one... :pirate So what was Your first RPG, Lu?

So what was Your first RPG, Lu?
If as a try, then methinks it was Fallout (you be laughing at me all, I knows)
Or maybe some other game was first, can't recall the name. There was big scary guys, they showed up and would say smth evil, then go away, never on me. Then somebody said it could only be played on line, that's why them guys never got me
If as RPG that I did play, it was BG1

That must have been a lot of love if you enjoyed football...
A survey was recently released saying that being "in love" only lasts for a year, whereupon (I state this as a result of experience although I'm sure someone is ging to make a survey on it, despite the patent uneccessaryness of it) other emotions kick in. Who the hell funded this survey? I mean, everyone in the world who has ever fallen in love hasn't already told everybody who hasn't?
But yes, there was a lot of love. Being in love makes you extraordinarily tolerant and accommodating. Which makes the next stage of loving a period of readjustment where you realise you are not really enjoying picking up his dirty socks and he realises the free ride is over.

Tell that to the people of Troy :).

Nah, don't be cynical Eral. It is not always like that.
