Copyright?
« on: November 15, 2005, 08:32:33 AM »
Hmm...
I'm working on my own fantasy world and I'd like to copyright names and persons specific to this world.
Could someone tell me how to do that?

Copyrights are automatically granted as soon as you publish something.  However, names cannot be copyrighted; instead you must register them as trademarks, which you'd need to do via your country's trademark office (which in some countries is the same as the patent office, but in other countries is a seperate entity).

Book titles can't be copyrighted, either. That's why there are so many cheap "Webster's" dictonaries about.
Imbriglicated!
