Mod compatibility list
« on: September 20, 2005, 05:00:31 PM »
With all these great new mods that Pocket Plane is introducing, I think we need a Mod compatibility list which needs updating every so often. So far, I've been heavily reliant on the dud Darkest Day mod and almost all the excellent WEIDU mods, and I'm worried that the very promising Quest pack mod will not be compatible with WEIDU. For example, WEIDU has a wonderful Improved Irenicus/Improved Bodhi mod which presumably will conflict with the new changes in the quest pack. I may have missed the relevant page, so I would be grateful if I were pointed to it.

In "...not be compatible with WEIDU" and "WEIDU has a wonderful...", I assume "WEIDU" should be replaced with "Tactics"? Because Quest Pack not being compatible with the very modding utility it was created and installed with would be rather silly ;).

EDIT: and incidentally, I can see no reason why Quest Pack wouldn't be compatible with those components.  The joy of WeiDU is it allows you to patch things, rather than completely overwrite them.

How could I forget, there is a basic "who's changed what" list to be found here:  http://wiki.spellholdstudios.net/index.php?title=Quest_%26_storyline_altering_mod_list .  So far I'm the only direct contributor, and I'm hoping this list will become a more popular :).  /me goes off to pimp list in a couple of other current threads.

A more technical list, such as file names, scripting variables, etc doesn't exist, but if modders try to stick to their assigned prefix and use patching rather than overwriting as much as they possibly can, it isn't really neccessary.

Yes, of course, I meant the mods at Weidu.org such as Tactics etc.

The Quest Pack should work fine with most other WeiDU mods (including all of those created by the Pocket Plane team). If compatibility issues with other WeiDU mods arise, please inform me.
