There were a couple of criticisms about the experience rewards you get from UB quests.  I can't remember anymore what earned what, but it might be something to look into.

You're probably right about something we should look into, though I'm hoping it doesn't turn into yet more rants about Kalah/Genie XP! ;)

A fundamental basis of BG2 is getting tons of XP for doing nothing.

Yes, that's why there are special mods dedicated to toning down XP rewards. :)
