This has been festering for a few days, giving me time to type up a...fairly reasonable...response.
One: Is there a 'clique' here that new readers/posters should be aware of?
I ask because the above comments are sweet and non-critical, aside from Ghrey's 'more zombies'. This, of course, leads to the following question.
Two: What ever happened to Netiquette?
I AM NOT DEAF. There's no need to shout at me. Am I the only one who finds this breach of "ALL CAPITAL LETTERS = SHOUTING" no-no grating on the nerves? I understand this is Corvis; how do you shut-up a drunken magpie?
Three: Does no one check spelling and punctuation anymore?
<deep sigh> Eighteen years of American schooling has been drilled into my brain too deeply for safe removal. Either use proper puctuation, or not *at*all*. *Don't* be half-assed about it. Example:
"WHAT RULES IS THAT" kelsey asked with his FAT GAY HEAD
"Our rule against posting to the forums at 4:14 AM."
Then again, it *was* Merena who said the rule and she obviously understands what I'm saying. As for the grammar, (as atrocious as it is) I can strangely let that slide. If Corvus speaks this way, I find it acceptable for his characters to as well. I can't remember the term I'm forgetting for this, but Mark Twain wrote heavily in this manner in
Tom Sawyer and
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn - colloquialism, I think.
Well, I feel much, much better. The ulcer in my stomach quit acting up and the bile choking me has gone away.
