There was also a 'it was all a setup' idea, where a spurned would-be lover was plotting revenge, but it *really* defeated the purpose of Bad Kelsey, even more than a squishy, kiss-kiss ending.

That thought did cross my mind too. But I think it's was an uphill battle from the start seeing as it's very hard to picture Kelsey being so numerous (generous?) in his infidelity. I can stretch my imagination to one affair (maybe while he and Charname are having a huge, horrible fight), but the magnitude was what got me.

Having said that, the romantic ending was really sweet while being incredibly frustrating.
