I was just browsing through the Attic archives, and came across an interesting Imoen/Edwin banter written by Dave Gaider. I'm not sure if this really counts as UB since it was never intended to be included in the game (rather it was just something Dave put together for the forum goers), but I like it and it makes for a nice follow up to the existing Imoen/Edwin banter
.
Imoen: "You know, Edwin, I've been thinking..."
Edwin: "Eh? You said something? (Hmph. I'm sure what the difference in what I and this brat would consider 'thinking' could fill the Innersea.)"
Imoen: "Yep. I've been considering, you know...my heritage."
Edwin: "Ah, yes. Your supposed relation to the deity of murder. Interesting. Most interesting. (Perhaps she will gain some insight into power, yet...hmmm...)"
Imoen: "That would be the one. I've been having such...strange...dreams, lately, all about it..."
Edwin: "Yes? Yes?"
Imoen: "I...dream of murder. Blood and gore, and I'm covered in it. I...I want to kill, Edwin...I want to *kill*..."
Edwin: "Er..."
Imoen: "I lust for death! Any death! Even your death!!"
Edwin: "I, ah...perhaps I should, er..."
Imoen: "...Edwin?"
Edwin: "...ah...yes?"
Imoen: "Boo!"
Edwin: "GAAAH!! I...I did...you...!"
Imoen: "Ha hahaha! Ooooo, are you scared of little old me, Edwin? Big, bad Imoen's going to turn into the slayer and tear you a new windpipe? Ha ha ha!!"
Edwin: "I...I... (Brat! Insufferable brat!!)"
Imoen: "Tee hee! Tell you what, big guy...I get any sudden urges to spread mass death and destruction, you'll be the first to know."
Edwin: "Mmmm. (If I get the same, you will be the *last* to know! Fireballs! Fireballs down your brattish little gullet, I swear!!)
Incidentally, it seems there was also supposed to be a couple of three-way banters between Korgan, Mazzy and Valygar (as well as the Korgan redemption stuff).
Apparently Cernd's epilogue was intended to be twice as long, even more tragic than it ended up...
Something else I don't recall seeing mentioned on the UB forum before:
Well before she [Alliana] was a priestess of Bhaal. Keep in mind that Gorion is quite an old man...in his 50's or 60's, at least. 20 years ago when the PC was born, he would have been 30 or 40...and could easily have known Alianna long before-hand. The circumstances of how she became a priestess are not explained (this dialogue was cut) and are more or less irrelevant. What's important is that Gorion felt guilty for having to kill her (he would have preferred to save her...but it just wasn't possible) and raising and protecting her son is what he feels is right.
