OMG, long time no see. :D

Yes, it's been so long she was able to start drinking McCafe coffee and now claims to enjoy it. We should never have let her go.

My sister-in-law always says she has a "memory like an eagle"

I am the opposite. Memory like a goldfish!

And cliffette has fallen from grace. McCafe coffee  :'(

I was once in grace?  :o

I love how Andyr is scintillated by my conversation.

My personal favourite is "As snug as a bug in a rug" because it rhymes multiple-y.

I have a friend of the family who is famous for her abuse of the English language in amusing ways.

My personal favorites are "Well, it's either twelve in one hand or half dozen in the other," and "Ignorance is nine tenths of the law."

<StoplightRed> right, right. but see, most of my friends really aren't bastards.

Black Adder is a virtual resevoir of things like that... My personal favorite is 'as useless as a catflap in an elephant house', which causes most people to stop what they're doing and think about it for a minute... Not to mention the fact that most of us Americans don't have any idea what 'catflap' means, and assume it's something dirty...

One of my favorite sayings of my own invention is "That's about as stupid as a walrus on a moped..."

A sidenote: You can get Black Adder as a voiceset at Sorceror's Place. So everytime he says 'I have a plan so cunning, you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel' I know Boo and my ferret familiar smile. At least I think I saw them do it. At least once. I swear.

Yeah, that sound set is nice, except for the fact that it ended up being way too loud, so I had to go through and reduce the volume on each sound...

Plus I paired it with this:

Perfect for an evil sorceror...

sounds like my mother-in-law.   among her many misquotes are:  someone didnt have a chance in a windstorm
                                                                                          he has 2 left thumbs
i'm going to do it like my name is God

there was another really good one, but i cant post it, cause i might get TOS'd

He's sitting on it (bike, chair, horse, whatever) "like a monkey on the grindstone" = in a very tense und uptight way

I don't know if that one is an official German phrase, so far I've never heard anyone use it but my boyfriend.
"Show me how you do that trick! The one that makes me scream", she said,
"the one that makes me laugh!" she said and threw her arms around my neck.
"Show me how you do it and I promise you, I promise that
I'll run away with you, I'll run away with you..."

I'm fairly sure that my uncle isn't German, and he uses the phrase quite a bit.

Let us not forget the phrase "colder than a witch's teat."

is there anything better, really...?

Hey yo, I know this dude right.
Carl, he wore tight blue sweats, but wasn't glued too tight.  all he had upstairs was a crude light
you think that's weird, he lived next door to a food fight.
