That would really, really rule. I'm guessing it's too big to e-mail. Can you make it onto IRC, or transfer over MSN or something?

That's great! BTW it should not be too big for email (at least by today's standards)

The file is 16Mb, but IRC should works fine though.

I'll try to get some screenshots up later, my ISP seems to have some technical problems.

The download is available here:
http://mods.pocketplane.net/bg1tutu/TutuGUI.exe

For now, it should ONLY be used with ToB v26498 (the version of BG1 isn't important). This will be addressed in a future release.

Thanks, LadeJarl!

The readme says "Run (click on) "Setup-Tutufix.exe"." Smiley
Also "This mod should be installed last." - is this also a leftover from some other readme or should it be really installed last? I thought those file were not touched by other mods. Also I asume it will work with normal BG2 (no tutu)?

Oh. Uh. Yeh, run Setup-TutuCHU.exe if you haven't already figured that out. Smiley

It'll work with normal BG2, but it'll disable ToB, so you probably don't want that unless you're Ghrey.

I kiss you!! Kiss

Thanks.  Wink

I'll atempt to have an updated version ready by monday.

This version will include support for the 640x480 resolution. Taking a scond look at that
task I see that the rest-button in the gameworld screen will have to be sendt off-screen.
The restbutton will overlap with the clockwork animation if I am to leave enough space
for the multi-player options button.

The rest button will still be available in for example the record screen.

@Ladejarl - It's really great! BTW since you seem to have a lot of talent Smiley maybe you could tackle the world map for tutu? (I know I'm trying to use you, no denying that Wink )

Could you not moosh the Party AI and Select All button down a bit, and have the rest button there with them?  I think one of the many features of Tutu is that you have a rest-button available on the main game screen.  I'd vote for keeping it.

Also, yeah, switching to 800x600 resolution shows just how spiffy this thing looks.  Very nice.  I'm totally looking forward to the 640x480 version, though.  (As perverse as it may sound, I think playing Tutu in 640x480 helps bring back the BG1 flavour for me.  What can I say?  I'm weird.)

It's a great Mod! On the contrary of Ghreyfain I don't look forward to a 640x480 mode (I love 1024x768) but I agree with him about the Rest button. It was one of the really better things of the BG2 interface. Again congratulations!

I'm actually kinda indifferent, when I think about it. While it seems more convenient to have the button on the main screen, I think one of the things I preferred about BG1 was that it encouraged you to think about when you rested rather than just mashing the button and hoping for the best, not least because the command was hard to get to.

What happens to rest button in "vanilla" BG2 when you switch to 640x480 (sorry I have only tutu with this skin installed at the moment, so can't check)

The BG2 clock is smaller than in BG1, so it fits just above it.

Brilliant stuff. Cheesy

I assume it'll work for BGII, too, if desired?

Are you refering to the somewhat colorless, non-glowing map icons? Sloving that means makeing some 2000+ ? frames for the bam file in question.
Making the icons darker and more bg I like is less tedious but since it's part of tutufix you should ask them.

The rest button will still be available in for example the record screen.

Could you not moosh the Party AI and Select All button down a bit, and have the rest button there with them? I think one of the many features of Tutu is that you have a rest-button available on the main game screen. I'd vote for keeping it.

There are two problems:

As you can see from the screenshot of the inventory screen, there is no rest button. This is because I noted that the corresponding chu file could be transfered directly.
BG I has the rest button on the right-hand side with same controll ID as SoA/Tob but hardcoded woe. I attempted to add the controll to the left-hand side of the inventory
screen using DLTC but the editor acted up and corrupted the save. Both the game and the editor hated that save.

Nevertheless, I suspect that trying to add the restbutton on the left-hand in the gameworld screen will be prevented by a similar hardcoded limitation.

On a possitive note, infinity engine willing I have managed to get around another space issue involving the clock. In the next version the clock won't disappere when you minimize
the left-hand menu.
