I played through all of Amn during Chapters 2 and 3 with the following party: PC (Female elven sorcerer), Edwin (romance), Yoshimo (replaced by Imoen), Jaheira, Yasraena and Haer'Dalis (previously Korgan *killed* and Keldorn *kicked out*).

In Spellhold I take Imoen into the party and while escaping the Asylum dungeon an Imoen/Jaheira banters turns up. Imoen is apparently commenting on Jaheira's romantic relationship with the PC, but...my PC is female and romancing Edwin (EdwinRA=2).

Is this an original game bug? Does a fix for this exist, or will it be included in the new BG2 Fixpack?
Or is it a Mod-related bug?

The obvious question is, "What's the value of JaheiraRomanceActive?"

The way that sequence works, it won't even get started unless Jaheira's LOVETALK value is above 68. There is no "bug" I am aware of that will generate that result.

I had Jaheira consider herself my (female) CHARNAME's romantic partner after transitioning into a ToB game; no multi-romancing patches were installed at the time. That's the only time I've seen that happen in one of my games.

That's odd...
I just checked and it states that the global "JaheiraRomanceActive" does not exist. Her LoveTalk LOCALS stands at 71, though.

I have no idea how that could have happened... perhaps a bug during her harper quests? I recall Jaheira saying "him" (referring to <CHARNAME>) to Dermin, though that could have been a simple error of forgetting <PRO_HIMHER>.

While I can amend the check to prohibit JaheiraRomanceActive=0, I still haven't heard of this happening to anybody else.

I had the Anomen romance kick in in the ToB portion once, and he wouldn't take no for an answer.

Actually, this did happen to me once, when I was in a VERY committed relationship with Kelsey. I wouldn't have a save to look at anymore though. As I recall it, Elminster showed up with her Harper pin immediately afterwards. There was no further mention of a relationship between us, at the Tree of Life or anything.

Probably should have reported it at the time, but I was really deep into the game and then forgot about it completely.

Oh, and I never use multi-romancing.

Okay. Well, it's a trivial enough change to make so I'll include a check that JaheiraRomanceActive is not, in fact, 0. As long as we're clear that it wasn't my fault in the first place.

As a female PC, jaheiraromanceactive should be non-existant along with jaheiramatch, etc. the odd thing is the LT=71. It should only advance to ... 7, or something, for female PC's.

(yes, the banters she has with a female PC are "counted" as LT's)

I'll note that in my case I've never used Yasraena, and I thought that when Jaheira did a love banter with my char soon after transitioning into ToB (in the pocket plane), I'm pretty sure I wasn't romancing Edwin at the time since I've only gotten that relationship to finish its SoA components (thus allowing transfer over to ToB) once. I probably had my CHARNAME in a relationship with Kelsey or Anomen, if anyone.

Nope, scratch what I said previously, and my apologies for making anyone look bad even briefly. I racked my brains and remembered that my PC was a druid in the game where I played with Yasraena, and I didn't have Jaheira with at all. (Party in that game was Keto, Kelsey, Anomen, Imoen, and Yasraena.)

Jaheira and Imoen had their chat in a previous game where the only mod NPC in the party was Kelsey, and I was playing a bard. None of CoM's NPCs were even installed at that time.

So then the question for Bex and Xiao is: did you have banter paks installed? Or is it possibly an original game bug? I've played a female twice, and it's not happened to me - but twice is hardly a baseline for comparison.

I had the Banter Pack installed, as well as NPC Flirt Pack and various other stuff. My recollection of what triggered was a random flirt from Jaheira. I think my response was to boot her from the party (and oh, was she not pleased at that...). She'd been acting normally in SoA, so I'm not sure if my incident is related to the others unless there's some code in the original game that occasionally sic's Jaheira on a female CHARNAME accidentally.

The stock game advances the lovetalk (at least I think it's the stock game).

This is more idle speculation than anything, but does the game advance Jaheira's lovetalk at that point so that she'll get her Harper pin? I seem to recall that she was only supposed to get it if you were romancing her, but that doesn't seem to be the case now. Did ToB change it?
