Problems with reputation
« on: June 15, 2005, 02:26:47 AM »
Hi ! I'm creating two kits for BGII with some fellow-members of our community, which are evils ( our mod allows PCs to play evils ). There are a Paladin's Kit and a Ranger's Kit. The problem is when the reputation of those kits is too low, the PC loses his class' skills. So what can we do to prevent this problem of loss of the skills ? It's very important.

I don't know of a 'fix' for that.  What's happening is Paladins and Rangers fall when their rep gets too low.  To my knowledge, Andy hasn't solved that problem for his Blackguard kit.  Weimer had to code his Anti-Paladin as a Fighter to avoid this problem (I think).

Ok, but if they are Fighter's kits, they'll lose their skills as Hide, etc... but the problem of reputation is resolved.

You could try to code it as a cleric, but without access to higher level spells.
