Yeah, stubble is no fun when kissing. We'll see what we can do.
My girlfriend says she likes stubble. Is she lying?

And I think there needs to be a flirt where you can dye Cailean's hair green. There NEEDS to be.

It all depends on the quality of the stubble and what you do with it.  8)

I dunno, green is so difficult.  You get the wrong shade of green and it'll clash with his armor and *then* where will you be? Hmm?

Hey, now...my hair is distressed, it doesn't need a lube job and a tuneup.

My girlfriend says she likes stubble. Is she lying?

Your girlfriend may like the look of stubble. This is quite a common affliction. Millions of girls loved George Michael.
She may like kissing stubble. This would be less common. Does she regularly rub her face with a loofah or sandpaper? If so, she is definitely telling the truth.

Your girlfriend may of course just tell you that because you hate shaving, and she is cutting you some slack. This is a sign that she is really in love with you.

The way to find out the truth is to shave and see if she complains.

I have shaved and cut my hair. She expressed disappointment that I no longer look like a tramp.

She likes stubble. You are a very happy man.
Now your only concern is keeping her identity secret because now countless men will be saying  :D.  Believe me, this is a rare woman. Make her very happy.

Me, I have a beard and my hair's only getting longer. I need a haircut and maybe a shave, but right now I don't really care..  :-\

@ Eral: Perhaps Sim meant that she liked stubbies which is not that uncommon. Keep her happy regardless. ;)

Jester: stubbies of beer, or Stubbies the workshorts? The latter are commonly worn with a navy-blue Chesty Bond's singlet, explorer socks and heavy work boots, and are acceptable drinking gear in fewer and fewer pubs. (The rise of the Bistro is seeing such signs as "Neat casual wear only" festooning more and more doors.)

This is all very educational, but perhaps we could move back to the topic of Cailean's alternate portrait?

Cailean does look like a bit of a drinker.  I think he'd appreciate the way this thread is going.

Edit: What is a navy-blue bendy bond singlet?

Sorry.
*hangs head in shame, knowing off-topicness is a bad, bad, thing*

We were sort of on-topic...while we were talking about stubble...

*looks up brightly, because she is incorrigible*
I'm sure he has to drown his sorrows. It's only natural.
A singlet is a vest - the undergarment once worn by grand-dads under their shirts, and now by many as day wear. "Chesty" Bond is an icon first generated in the '50's to try and suggest that singlets are desirable. I think. He went out of vogue, and Bonds tried to get us to associate Sarah O'Hare with their underwear, but as people still relentlessly refer to Chesty Bonds, they've brought him back.

Sara O'Hare should do fine in a chesty singlet and, yes, the beer, and, yes, also sorry.

Kelsey is the best spellcaster and he likes Cailean and his two portraits. *pheeew that was close*

Since my mind would like to get back to thinking naughty thoughts involving those ears (as noted in a comment from me that Sillara sneakily put on Tsujatha's download site, I have a thing for pointed ears), I have just this to say...

I like. I like a lot.

I like a lot.

So you're saying you have low standards, and Cailean somehow meeting them is supposed to be a compliment?  That's sure to make Kismet and St. Jo happy with themselves.

Ha, yeah, just kidding.  We all understand what you're saying.  Plus, even if it was damning with faint praise, it's better than people ruminating on how best to axe his face and steal his phat lewt, I'm sure.

Heh. I would've said more in the way of praise, but at the time, my mind was very much occupied. :)

As it is, seeing that portrait just makes the wait longer...

I'm probably the only one hoping for flirts involving those ears, am I? :)

. . . I made one, too . . . but you don't have to like it. *weeps*

I just really like Jude Law, okay? He has such magnificent lips, and I happened to be reading the flirts when inspiration struck . . . and let's assume that valuable amulets go under the armor, because it would have looked silly on such a short chain.

Additionally, Google Jude and you'll definitely see my source image. I have nothing to hide.

(I made his armor green. Eehehe.)

Kismet would like one that looks like Harrison Ford. (If it is Bons I mean, apologies.) I myself am opposed to adoring men who cheat on their wives. And that is double for Jude: he cheated on his girlfriend as well. Once is a mistake, more than that you are Mick Jagger. I rest my unreasonable case.

Oh yeah, he did do that, didn't he? I had forgotten. I really don't follow the news. Philadelphia's news is incredibly depressing. Too many children randomly die horribly here.

On a much lighter note, I can't find any suitably young pictures of Mr. Ford. Hnn. Conspiracy.

Oh my goodness, I just found one that I might be able to use if I do, like, a composite of the picture and Indiana Jones-era stuffs to make him convinceably mid-20s . . . Off to work, then! MUAAHAHHAHA.

I am so bored.

You do very nice work fcm; I like your style, although Jude Law isn't my favorite either (plus I'm really amused at seeing Cailean with a fauxhawk.)

I can't wait to see Harrison Ford as Cailean. :)

Man, it is really hard to make him convincably 25. He always seems "jowly" no matter what I do. DAMN YOU, HARRISON FORD!

I am officially starting over, with pictures from the 70's.

It was either make him look like a half-elf or make him look like Harrison Ford, and . . . well, yeah. So it's pretty much Harrison Ford with pointy ears. Every time I'd thin down his face or change his eyes, he looked unrecognizable.

Seems to me FCM that I distinctively remeber you saying you're not very talented. Liar. Though personally I'd prefer more Harrison Ford in your Harrison Ford ;)

Oh, I think I said I wasn't a talented modder or something like that. I really try not to go fishing for compliments like that, hahaha. I'm an adequate artist. I'd hope so, anyway -- it consumes enough of my time and I'd hate to think that I'd have nothing to show for it. Well, If I did say something that stupid, you can bludgeon me within inches of death. I think that's appropriate.

I used a really old picture of young Harrison. I didn't want Han Solo Harrison and I didn't want Indiana Jones Harrison, so this one is just some random publicity shot, I believe. Anyway, I can't say that I know too much about the personal nuances of his face, so it might be a little alien. Frankly, I can't tell. I don't really "follow" actors. Granted, I think some are fantastically good/underappreciated/etc, but for the the sake of painting/drawing I just have a mental list of ones I find sexy -- which is mostly just waifish, skinny things with long necks and Bruce Willis.

Oh, Bruce Willis . . .

You know, I'm suddenly unhappy with the armor. I think I'll touch it up tomorrow. It's too light.
Imbriglicated!
