Tiny Keto-Anomen banter bug?
« on: February 21, 2005, 08:17:41 AM »
I've been replaying BG2 with a female human paladin.  We killed Firkraag (sp?), and I was told to go talk to the Order of the Radiant Heart and become a member.  We traveled back to the Temple district, and upon zoning in, Keto wishes Anomen good luck.  He had not yet met Sir Ryan Trawl and been told to show up at the Order.  Once there, talking to Sir Ryan didn't trigger the knighthood sequence for him.  I talked to the NPCs I had to, got the "ettins and orcs in the Umar Hills" quest, went and did it, returned, and this time upon zoning into the Temple district, Sir Ryan told Anomen to come to the Order.  We did so - without the good luck wish from Keto again - and he passed.

(If it matters: The romance with Anomen had gotten to the point where he asked me if it was true I was Bhaal's daughter, so he had previously been summoned by his father, and I successfully convinced him to let justice or fate deal with Saerk.  My group has Anomen, Keto, Kelsey, Keldorn, and Nalia; Anomen and Kelsey earlier had their "choose one" confrontation, and I picked Kelsey.)

Not a big deal, I was just confused if Anomen had been included in the offer as well and was now bugged, but apparently that worked out right.  I'd blame it on Keto being tipsy and missing the point of what was being said, but for Anomen's extended banter with her about the place of "luck" in the process. ;)

It's a teeny tiny thing. We checked if Anomen's knighthood timer had expired in the conditions for Keto wishing him good luck, so basically we are looking to see if Trawl is due to speak with him at the moment, rather than check if Trawl has spoken with him.

Newt had always suspected that people who regularly used the word "community" were using it in a very specific sense that excluded him and everyone he knew.
