disabling virtue temporarily
« on: February 06, 2005, 04:43:52 PM »
I started off with a NE char and now, with virtue, he is N.  I have finally come across a Find Familiar spell and would like to summon the dust mephit I had in BG1, not a useless rabbit.

The readme says to set the global variable to this and that.  I don't know how to do it.  I'm able to get the Clua console up with ctrl-space, but don't know EXACTLY what to type in the line to allow me to temporarily be NE again so I can get my mephit.  Any help would be appreciated.

I suppose I could kill a bunch of people, but don't have the coin to get my rep back up.  What are the breaking points for becoming good or evil with this mod?

CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("d0change","global",x) where x is the value you want to apply. Evilness is 8 (I think), so, if you are at 12, try a value of -4, as in
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("d0change","global",-4)

Note: mind the capitals, they are needed!

YOu know, if you kill someone without witnesses, it only affects virtue, not virtue and rep.

Didn't know that, thanks.  Actually, I was a bit flip with my last comment; I didn't really want to kill a bunch of guys just to lower virtue.  Aside from the roleplaying aspect, there was the fear that my npcs would start twitching as happened with Minsc when I got a virtue hit greater than -1.

They shouldn't twitch if you're using the latest version.
