Try Version 10 of the Tweak pack, it's now available. I was having a problem with a few things with v9, but v10 has solved them. As per your problem, I was having a similar bug with the Monator/Xvar and Jaheiri/Khalid initial encounters, the game would just crash when I tried to talk to them. I read that there might be a problem with the BG1NPC pack and uninstalled it. So far there's hasn't been any problems since.

Would like to pint out that the problem came from the incompatifility with one of the CoM mods - I think it was called Forge (?) or something like that. After the user uninstalled it, he could play with BG1NPC w/o problems. So one or another, but not both :)
Hang in there. I'll try to make you glad you did.

You have Dudley installed, do not you? The fix to AR1800 has a conflict with TUTU fix V 7.

dudley fixes from www.dudleyville.com They are a bunch of things that you would have unzipped in your BG1 override folder prior to running the conversion (or long time ago, or whenever). If you did, then simply unconvert your TUTU, delete AR1800.bcs from your BG1 override and try to convert again.

if you have never installed them, than you might be missing files in your installation. See the pinned thread entitled What your BG1 folder should look like by Ghrey :)

If no files are missing, I do not know what's wrong.

Also, if you want to risk it, you can try to do the following. Do not unconvert.

Open your tutufix.tp2 file in a text editor and place // in front of line that read something like this:
COPY_EXISTING _NARRAT.CRE and try to run tutufix again.
Hang in there. I'll try to make you glad you did.

I have encountered some major issues too.

First, I must say that I run a french version of BG1/2.
All was working fine with tutu v4 / fixpack v6

Dudley's fixes crash bg1, probably a language conflict :( (although I didn't include text editions)
... and therefore crash bg2

fixpack7 doesn't even install correctly, I have to manually copy some files to right location, but even then, the game doesn't work due to dudley fixes I assume

So I have made some changes to make it working (installing tutu v4 then fixpack7), but in that case, the game works but I encounter many bugs.

I was forced to restore my good old v4/fixpack6 (which fortunaly works very fine :)
