Caedwyr, you are entirely right about Jaheira's personality and abilities. What is the baffling reason she cracks it with you, then?
Keep running with logic, both of you. Then as you watch the woman fade into the sunset, you'll have your impeccable thought processes to comfort you. Of course those less likely to be influenced by their logic get an actual person to do so. But there are people who find being right so much more fun than sex.
I agree, it is completely baffling. I mean why does she get upset when I obviously show a complete lack of caring about her predicament. She's the one who wanted to hook up with me, and after my little werelobster demonstration she should
know that the top thing on my mind is kicking some serious ass. Honestly, if she isn't going to shape up in the face of a triffling disturbance by lesser beings, then she might as well ship out.
And there is always Aerie or Viconia. *ducks*
Whoever said I wasn't basing my decision on emotions? Love, specifically. I *loved* my gold, so I wasn't about to make any nail-breaking come between me and that love.
Love, what is this love you speak of? Oh, you must mean
this. Yes, love is a very powerful emotion.
Well, luckily for the heartless me, there is the reload option.
(The reason she ditches you is rather obvious. It was informative though to take a look through the dialogues and to see all the ways that section plays out. For the longest time, I didn't realize there was any way of successfully making it through the whole thing without offering yourself as a target. I don't think I've ever gotten the money option.)
Actually, one of the funnier times I had this particular event occur, was when Jaheria already had an ironskin up, along with a good stack of other magical defenses, or in other instances I've had it when she had some item/ability which made her immune to normal and +1 weapons. Heh, since the bandits were only packing unenchanted weapons, it made the whole event a little bit silly.
