BGII Crashing Problems...

I recently re-purchased BGII because my cd's went bad. And I cant get it on my computer... prefectly, at least. At one attempt, it crashed a majority of the times I tried to either save or leave the area. So I reinstalled it. Then, no portrats whatsoever. So I reinstalled it. For the last try, it went very well... except that I can't leave Chateau Irenicus. My best guess is either a mod I have installed is disrupting something. Or somehow the chapter-changing scrolling story thing somehow didn't install. Any ideas on how I can continue my game? If it helps, here's what I have installed:

I think the problem is that none of us has any ideas. At a guess, I'd say you have a conflict with Dungeon-be-Gone somehow.

I suggest you reinstall (I know, ouch), and this time add Baldurdash after the official ToB patch. Are all the mods you're using WeiDU?

all the Mods are WeiDu. I never had such a problem before. I kind of assumed someone would have some kind of idea, thanks. I've reinstalled the game about four times already, but I'll give it all another go.

Here's something you can try... or rather, two ways of trying the same thing.  This isn't really a problem solving step, but it'll narrow things down.

1) Uninstall everything.  Re-install BG2 after deleting your weidu.log and override folders.  Test it without any mods at all, just official patches.

If it does the same thing, then the problem isn't mods at all.

2) This is the same test as above, only doesn't require that you uninstall everything.  Go to the BioWare site, look for the info on removing ToB items from the registry, follow the instructions there, and then re-install BG2 in another location.  Test it with just the official patch.

Then you should check the BioWare forums for an answer, since it isn't mods.   Sorry.
