I saw this in the ReadMe, and I'm a little confused.

So Jaheira and Imoen have a banter about Yoshimo, but Yoshimo has to be in the party.....

But Imoen gets taken away right after Casa Irenicus, and by the time you get her back Yoshi has already left the party (in Spellhold). How exactly do you get this banter to occur?

Sorry if it's a dumb question, but I just don't get it. Please pass the dunce cap.

Yoshimo has to be in the party when you go to spellhold, not when you have the banter.

Really Yoshi only just met the party, he's not your true friend. The only reason you meet him at all is cause he looked for you.

True but the whole time he knows he has to betray you so he'd try not to get too emotionally attached, I'd suspect he is very troubled by it all. See how dynamic his character is, not such a betraying git?

GOD i hate it when other people are correct! but still, in films, (the incredibles, and ice age for example) the bad guys (sabertooth, and marage) watch the goodies, then decide to change sides, why not him? (sorry for the crap films for examples)

Yeah, but he couldn't tell you about it, to get it removed, because one would assume Irenicus was smart/powerful enough to make it kill him in the event he told anyone.

See the Marek/Lothander poison quest in BG1 for another example of a geas. One that gets cured, this time.

Not within the context of the game.

There's been lots of talk of modding in a way to keep Yoshi around, and one was even created, but in my opinion it's a mistake. Yoshi's betrayal/death is his defining moment, and one of the only events in the game that has any genuine impact. Removing it weakens his story-- and in my opinion the story of the game-- on a deep level.

thats nothing, the "longer road" mod lets you have Irenicus in your team
