contingency as innate?

OK, I have a couple of questions. One is it possible to get contingency to use innate spells instead of mage spells? and is it possible to make a summoned creature advance in experience also? because many people want more than 6 party members, so what if you used an item to summon a character, but the problem is how to get to improve along with your character.
