I wouldn't have thought so--it should be entirely down to WeiDU what it is going to parse, not the computer architecture. However, you could try /*comment*/ style comments instead.

I don't get it. My first (and currently only) thought is that something must be creating this .DS_Store file in the UB/Minsc/Scripts folder. Can you get them to have a look for it?

Or you could just try deleting the comment lines and compiling it on a mac.  If that makes it work, then let Weimer know about it.

I don't know if this has already been posted, but, if you use Minsc quest + the G3 "valen/sola style interjections" component, all dialogues where Minsc could be active are utterly messed up, no matter the order of installation. I get always the "no valid replies or link" message. I discovered this by:
1) go in government disctrict with Minsc.
2) see Delon but don't talk to him.
3) boot minsc for Viconia / Kelsey.
4) Try to grab Delon's quest.

Sorry for the bad report form, but all I know is that NI shows a Pirate in the reply trigger (without any brackets at all).

There is definately a .DS_Store file being created in the folders, because you do a batch install of the scripts WeiDU tries to compile it and fails. A fix would be to compile each script individually. However, that is annoying--I'd rather find out exactly what is creating this file. If is a common Mac file (I think this issue would have come up before now if it were) then perhaps individual compilation is the way to go, if not it is a local problem then it should be fixed their end.

Slight problem with mine:

I completed the quest a bit ago, but Minsc's soundset is still set as though Boo was missing. This wouldn't be such a big deal, but it's kind of eerie having Minsc in the party and not having Boo squeak for so long.

After I've completed the Boo quest, Misnc seems to have a too low thac0 and ac. I changed him to archer via SK, but didn't touch the thac0 and AC. So are those rewards for rescuing Boo?

He moves up to a strength of 19 after the Boo quest. I don't know if his Dex gets changed aswell, I never noticed.

You might want to wait for UBv11, where the other rewards from Eleanya have been fixed. Right now they're not distributed the way they're meant to be, even if you answer her questions correctly.

However in the version you've got right now, if you completed the quest the 'good' way  (answering questions, not fighting), you should have gotten Boo back, Minsc Str to 19, Thac0 reset to what it was before (though I will look into that) and I'm pretty sure I didn't touch Dex, but I'll check. The cowled wizards will also show up and reimburse you/give you a magic license, depending on whether you've paid for it yet. And yes, in the next version of Minsc, you can reject their offer :)

A Strength raise from 18/93 to 19 comes with a +2 bonus to hit and a +4 bonus to damage. This maybe where the wrong THAC0 reports are coming from, ie the THAC0 is right be people haven't taken into account the raise in Strength.

Well, Minsc had a thac0 of -3 at 9th level archer with normal comp. lbow and arrows (5*). He also had a naked ac of 1. (putting on a studded leather did nothing.)

You have Minsc using an Archer kit?

I'm not entirely sure of my sums here but:

12 (Base THAC0) - 3 (Archer Bonus) - 3 (Strength Bonus) - 2 (Grandmaster Bonus) - 1 (Weapon Bonus) = 3

Where's the problem? I think I may have missed a Dexterity bonus there too.

I can't find where your AC is coming from. Are you sure Minsc has no AC enhancing items equipped?

If you're using SK or some mod to alter Minsc's class and/or stats, I'm not sure I see the problem.  If his STR or DEX or AC or THAC0 or whatever isn't meeting your terms, change them.  I'll only support what changes UB makes on its own.  :)

A dialectical note: During the Kidnapping of Boo quest, the word "armor" is many times spelled "armoUr," a spelling convention not seen anywhere else in the game. Might as well be consistent.

If the British are going to pull things like
Lieutenant = "lef - TEN - ent,"
Brixton = "BRI - ten," and
Grosvenor = "GROVE - nur,"
I say they fully deserve a separate TRA file of their own. Until then, the game says it's spelled "armor." :)
