Realmslore pronuciation

Does anybody know where I can find a pronunciation guide to place names in the Realms?  I can't seem to find anything in my resources.   ???

Ditto to St. Jo. I did ad-hoc polling to try to figure out the pronunciation for "Luiren" for a song I wrote for Surayah months ago, and I got a different answer from each person. Neither the campaign setting nor The Shining South bothers to include such a helpful tidbit.
Newt had always suspected that people who regularly used the word "community" were using it in a very specific sense that excluded him and everyone he knew.

So, I guess if I ask how to say "Shou Lung" I'm not gonna get a concrete answer either.  :-\

Depends from which region of Kara-Tur you are from. I have heard Feng Shui from different sources and it sounds very different. :D Your pick I guess. There are general rules for Elvish I believe.

the way i was taught romanized-chinese, it'd be shoh(long on the o, or "show" without the w 'pucker') loong (oo as in "good").

as for other undocumented realms pronunciations - get in line to ask ed or one of his minions.  my guess for Luiren is that it's two syllables, by swinging rapidly through the u, and an i that leans towards 'ee'.  but you've already heard that, i suppose.  i presume you've already checked candlekeep.com?

My experience is that I tend to stick to the pronunciations found in the game. I am sure we all remember the phrase: "My prices are the best this side of Cormyr", pronunced COR-meer. I believe Volo's Guide to Cormyr has it the other way around, cor-MEER, but I cannot get used to that. Besides, "My prices are the best this side of CorMYR" sounds a bit stupid. ;)
