3 cheers for Icelus ! not only does he do a great job modding, he is also very helpful answering questions on the board, and keeping the list of mods and portrait sites too.

Team Nicknames
« Reply #26 on: July 18, 2004, 08:25:40 AM »
Anyone who visits this forum regularily will know what this thread's about.  I'm sure that it's nature will soon result in a moderator's bounty being placed upon its young little head, but hopefully the message will get out.  In my position as "Team Motivator" (well....I gave myself a focus to stop me getting kicked out of the workroom), i want to learn what the little pet names we have for our favourite moderators.  Look in the "Time Off" thread for examples.  Here's what I've gathered so far

Icelus - Icey
Barren - Barry
Melora - Mel

Cmon people, live a little.  This isn't real life, the boss can't fire you no matter WHAT you call him  :D

Also, do keep in mind that the first time someone called me Barry, I said I'd set his car on fire if he did it again  ;)

Otherwise visit the Ashford City forum and ask the mods, because Barren knows all. Barren is good. Barren is wise.

I agree.  Icelus is great!  He mods, and I had no idea he knew nothing before he began with UB.  That is quite an achievement!   :o :o

UB is one of my favorite mods, and I always check for updates.  Thanks, UB team!

P.S. Icelus is cool for keeping those link lists, too.  ;D

« Reply #37 on: July 27, 2004, 12:51:27 PM »
Version 11 will be out... eventually.  I've not been motivated to work on anything new lately, so, if it's released anytime soon, it'll primarily be a service release.  I do have two new/updated translations (German and Czech).  French translation is in progress; I still need a Spanish translator.

I figured I'd ask this here.  Do you have any problems if the community wanted to add dialogue (say INTERJECTS/CHAINS) with the new characters that you added here?

see topic nuff said.
Now, at last, the masks had fallen away.  The strings of the puppets had become visible, and the hands of the prime mover exposed.  Most ironic of all was the last gift that Raziel had given me, more powerful than the sword that now held his soul, more acute even than the vision his sacrifice had accorded me - the first bitter taste of that terrible illusion:  Hope.

Change in management
« Reply #44 on: March 04, 2005, 12:01:59 PM »
When v13 of UB was released, I stated in the announcement that I'd officially handed the reins of the project over to Andyr.  I probably should have made a clearer announcement of this fact, so, um... here it is.

Continue to report bugs, new findings, etc., here in the forum.  But, as far as translation coordination, releases, etc., Andyr is now in charge.  Just please do not flood him with email and PMs.  Continue posting here as normal.

As for me, well, I'll still be around, but only contributing minor things when the mood hits me.  Just consider me a creative consultant to the production team... or something.

Creative consultant, huh?  That means you steal the other modders ideas and use them as your own, right?

How many more versions of UB are there?
« Reply #46 on: May 18, 2005, 02:28:32 PM »

Hi, I'm pretty new to this site so please forgive me if this question had been asked before.  I was just wondering on how many more versions of UB will there be until the is definitively complete.

Please note that I'm not asking for a completion date, just a ballpark estimate on what version number will be the final one. ::)

There is no such thing as a "final version", unless the author decides to give up completely modding, so download every time you start a new game the new version and be glad that every time it'll be less buggy / more complex / vaster / better.

Not strictly true in this case.  There is only a finite number of things Bioware intended to implement but didn't, so once it's all been added and no-one finds any more bugs, new versions won't really possible.   Well, not unless it's decided to expand upon the mod's original premise, but I doubt that will happen.
