SpellNoDecRES(S:RES*,O:Target*)
« on: June 11, 2004, 01:16:15 PM »
I saw this coded in a .BAF file and tried to look it up in TeamBG's IESDP's Actions list for BG2 but they don't give an explanation as to what this does.

Can someone explain it?  Thanks.

It works like SpellRES() only it doesn't remove the spell from spells memorized after it's cast.

SpellNoDec casts a spell using all legal means (casting time, interruptable), but without requiring memorization. The RES bit, as with all other RES actions, means that it takes a SPL file as an argument rather than an IDS entry.

Thanks - now I know what to look at for detailed usage and examples in the scripting guide.  :)

Just in case you haven't seen it yet, this might help you in terms of descriptions of the actions/triggers :)

(in particular http://iesdp.teambg.net/scripting/bg2actions.htm for the actions).
