During setup, SoA items install ok it seems, but when it tries to install ToB items, I keep getting error message:

ERROR: Sys_error("dialog.tlk: Permission denied")

Setup terminates after this error. In the game, Cromwell will not offer to upgrade anything, including non "item upgrade" upgrades. When it comes to the part where he searches through your stuff for items, it gives only dialog option of telling him "goodbye".

Any ideas?

Is it the first time you have installed a WeiDU mod?
IF so, remember to:
1) turn the dialog.tlk and dialogF.tlk (the 2nd if present) to be writable. In SOA (and maybe also in TOB) standard install they are non-writable.
2) Turn off: Infinity Explorer, Near Infinity, Baldur's Gate (and any other program that works about BG2 if you want to be sure).

If this isn't the solution, post Weimer the Setup-itemupgrade.debug file.
