HUG SOLAUFEIN

It's very sweet  and works well for player initiated -as they ought to be repeatable, but have as many different outcomes as possible.

I would like to see more of these simple action, simple response flirts (for Sola too) as they fit better to the idea of the flirtpack. Long dialogue type things fit better as actual lovetalks. Not that I would not love to se more of them and not saying that we should not figure out new ways to think too if we feel like it. The FWP flirtpacks are great standard, but of course that does not mean that everything *must* be like them.

Only small thing might be the 'rests his chin on you shoulder' as this works best for average sized PCs, but I think that's probably what most play anyway, so I don't think that's much of a concern. If we stopped to think what halflings or halforcs would require in every turn I don't think we got anything done. <_<

I did wrote once dwarf specific beard flirt for another NPC and it was IMO quite neat; simple but effective. Perhaps it would not hurt to give few race specific flirts for Sola too - even that I believe Wes wished for gender and race neutrality. He does not have to use them if they don't turn out nice.

And don't say that Sphira or anybody is better writer than you, Jolyth! I don't think one should try to compete with anybody else than with oneself. (And even that competition one should not take too seriously.) :P

Jester, why on earth you would think of having sex in sauna? :o That would give anybody a heart attack.

I give credit where credit is due. Besides, I'm my own worst critic.  ;)

I too would like to have more of the simple stuff in the Sola flirt pack. Tends to get a bit long if you spend all your time in dialogue!  ^_^

I thought about the half-orc thing, thinking maybe Sola could still rest his chin "against" the PC. As for halflings, how about this:

*Sola picks you up so you can look in his eyes instead of at his kneecaps...*

Here it is with a slight restructuring...(Definition = Half orcs and Halflings included)

HUG SOLAUFEIN

*You walk up to Sola and easily wrap your arm about his waist, pulling him toward you. He stiffens for a moment, still unused to such open displays of affection, but relents quickly, melting within your embrace.

His arms slide around you and he pulls you closer to him, breathing in a deep sigh of contentment.

*You remain that way for a moment, simply enjoying the comfort of the embrace and it feels as if your two bodies have melted into one*

I think that works.  :D

I would kind of like the option, that if he goes into one of his broody things, you could just giving him a hug instead of answering his question.

Jolyth: *applauds* I like it!
Grey: That's a good idea. :) It might be better to bring it up to Wes, though, since implementing that idea means changing existing dialogues.

The "melted into one" part got me started. Since you are from Finland, which means you are a pro, I take your advice thankfully and won't argue about that. It is not impossible though.

Thanks Athena! Also, Grey's suggestion might be doable if we just insert a "Sola is Brooding, Whatcha Gonna Do?" flirt

Answer:  Smack him with a pillow and buy him an ale!

If it's a seperate flirt, we can write it...but if he means he'd like more options for Sola's dialogues (like the 'shut up and kiss me' branch) we'd have to speak to Wes about that.

Some topic ideas (to get our Muses going):

'Daydream about Solaufein' (topic inspired by flirt for Kismet's & St. Josephine's Cailean)

'Smile to Solaufein' or 'Smile seductively to Solaufein' or 'Smile shyly to Solaufein'

'Tickle Solaufein' (somehow it does not feel smart to tickle a drow, but when that has ever stopped Charname?)  :P

This flirt should come up when the party is outdoors, and the best place for it is a forest or something like that. (Oh, and sorry if there are mistakes...it has been a long time since I used english... )

*You lead your companions through a calm and peaceful forest. This place makes you forget about all your quests and goals. After couple of minutes you decide to stop and stay here for a rest.*

*You sat down on a large rock some distance from the road. You close your eyes and listen to lovely sounds of nature.*

*Suddenly a calm and friendly voice comes from behind you.*
Solaufein: It is a beautiful place for a rest indeed. You have a keen eye to notice that, my friend.

1. Oh, it's you. You scared me. (=>A)
2. Yes, and with you it is much more beautiful. (=>B)
3. Yes it was until you came in. Leave me alone! (=>C)

[A]
Solaufein: No need to be worried. I just came here to see you.
*Solaufein sits next to you and starts to look at the sky. His eyes glitter in the sun and you can read from them how relaxed and happy he is.*
Sulaufein: It is realy a fine day...especialy when someone has the opportunity to spend it with you.

*He finishes with a gentle kiss on your cheek and jumps of the rock. When you want to follow him you realize that there is someting under your hand.*

*You look back at your hand and you find a beautiful bunch of wild flowers. You smell them and keep them close to your heart. You know that this day will be worth to remember.* (end)

*Solaufein smiles wormly at your words and comes to sit near you*

*He looks in your eyes and you can see all his love shine throu them. Solaufein gently kisses your cheek and with a broad smile jumps of the rock. When you want to follow him you realize that there is someting under your hand.*

*You look back at your hand and you find a beautiful bunch of wild flowers. You smell them and keep them close to your heart. You know that this day will be worth to remember.* (end)

[C]
Solaufein: I...apologize. I won't do that mistake one again. (end)

OK, I know it is not as romatic or exciting as other flirts but I just wanted to post it. If someone with a talent to do such things would like to add something to it or just correct it feel free to do it.

OK, here I go again...  B)

As I said before I don't have time to write any flirts so I just post some ideas for someone else to write:

The first one would take place in a tavern when you decide to rest. The PC and Solaufein could lock themselves in a room and... *shy smile* have a little battle on pillows until they tear up and all those lovely white feathers go out  :D

The second flirt is supposed to show up outdoors when it rains. Everyone hides under a tree on in a cave, but the PC drags Solaufein out of his "hideout" and starts to jump happily and giggle and do all those silly things that a Bhaalspawn could do in the rain  :P

Intereting ideas, both of them, but I forsee one minor problem. If the Bhaalspawn is a half-orc, I can't honestly say I see them having a pillowfight with Sola or dancing in the rain.

A girl might, but not a half-orc or a male. It would probably have to be gender specific.

Why is that?    Why a male can't dance with Sola? Or why can't he pillowfight with him...? Solaufein is quite strong, even for an elf...

Maybe I misunderstood. You made mention of "doing all those silly things you do in the rain". I immediately had a mental picture of a man giggling. I don't think I've ever seen a man giggle.

Like I said, I probably misunderstood what you meant.

*smiles* Well, nice to meet you all. I'm still playing through the Solaufein mod (*cough*) so it's going to be a while before I can actually write anything. Even though it should be pretty easy for me to get into our lovable drow's head...he's a combination in personality of my boyfriend and I. *sweatdrop* I take a philosophy class called "Theory of Knowledge"...enough said.

Anyway, before I ramble too off-topic, I'll just say what I meant to:

1) If it's not too late to throw out ideas, I'll just throw out this one. I know there's a hair-braiding flirt, but as far as I know, there isn't one where the PC braids flowers into Solaufein's hair. I had another idea for a flirt, but I lost it.
2) Height issue-I believe, though correct me if I'm wrong, Solaufein's height was estimated at 5'7" earlier in the thread. I believe that Faerun surface elves range in height from 4'6"-5'6", and drow are smaller and slighter than the surface elves. Solaufein, while tall for a drow, would probably fall somewhere in the 5'2-5'4" height range. Unless I'm completely wrong. But that would make something to think about.

Unless I make a large amount of headway in playing through, I won't be able to write the flirt any time soon, because I want to write Sola reasonably IC, and I don't have a good enough grasp on his personality.

Besides, I'm annoyed at the pretty drow right now. Undead Solaufein's been handing my party's ass to me on a silver platter for four months straight now. Much as I love him when he's not a vampire, I won't be in the mood to write about him until he's not a vampire anymore.

OK, here it is... it cost me a lot of nerves to write it down but I made it, and I am quite happy with it *Hopes she wrote her exams better than this flirt...*

*You decide to stop in a tavern for the night. It will be a nice change from sleeping on hard ground. Unfortunatly it appeares that a lot of travellers had the same idea so there is not enogh rooms for all the party members.*

*You know that it will be your duty to split the group.*

1. Ok, we have only two rooms. Don't know what you guys wan't but one room is for me *wink to Solaufein* (=>A)
2. There are two rooms so I propose that we will split into equall groups and finaly go to sleep. (=>B)

A
*Solaufein smiles broadly as you lock yourselves in one of the rooms. You throw the key somewhere to the corner. As You look around You see that there are two beds in some distance from each other.*

1. (Try to push the bed to join it with the other one) (=>C)
2. (Simply go to sleep) (=>B)

B
*You are lying in bed, you try to sleep but it doesn't come easy. It is raining outside and You can't stop a shiver comeing up Your spine.* (End Flirt)

C
*Solaufein looks puzzled at first but he quickly starts to help You with the beds. Soon the two of them are standing near and You and Your handsome drow are lying under a warm quilt*

1. (Grab a pillow lying under your head and smack Solaufein with it) (=>D)
2. (Hug Solaufein and sleep in his arms) (=>H)

D
*Solaufein almost jumps out of the bed and regards you with a frightened look*
Solaufein: W-what was it? What was it for...?

1. For fun! (Smack him once more) (=>E)
2. Oh, never mind...let's just go to sleep. (=>B)
3. Im sorry if I hurt you, my love...(Move closer to him) (=>F)

E
*Solaufein this time avoids the hit and laughting grabs a nearest pillow and starts to fight with You. A couple of strikes had torn the cushions and all the feathers had flown into the air.*

*It takes some time before the pillows are completly torn. Seeing that, Solaufein finishes Your little fight with a loud kiss on Your cheek and climbes on the bed encouraging You to do the same*

*You know that this night has only begun.* (End Flirt)

F
*You come closer to Solaufein to check if he is alright, when suddenly you see a pillow heading your way. When the cushion hits you, you fall from the edge of the bed and soon You are been hit again, much liter this time*

*You open Your eyes and see that Solaufein is laughting watching as nearly all of the feathers slowly fall on You*
Solaufein: It looks like I'm in the lead, <CHARNAME>. And I guess I know what prize I would like to see

*Solaufein gently kisses Your lips and runs his hand down, to Your hip.*

*This will be a very long night.* (End Flirt)

G
*Solaufein presses a kiss on You lips before You can finish. You can definitly feel how much he loves You.*

*He ends with a warm hug and soon you both are again lying under a quilt but this time without pillows...* (End Flirt)

H
*Solaufein kisses the top of Your head and gently run his fngers across Your back.*
Solaufein: Goodnight, my love. (End Flirt)

I hope thet nothing is missing...and sorry for my english, recently I have a hard time with it

Since this is my first mail here, however, it would be nice to introduce myself first. My name's minnamaarit, nice to meet you all...

I didn't know Trinin, like I don't "know" any of you, but I got the impression that he was such a joyfull and nice person. May him rest in peace.

The reason I'm here, however, is to cheer you all up and to tell you how wonderful work you do. Although Trinin is gone, I hope all of your muses aren't. You are still important to all of us Sola fans. Since I can't write flirts, I don't know if there's anything I can do except to take a deep bow down to Tsuru, Jolyth, Athena and others who are working hard to get the flirt pack done, and of course Wes, who made this wonderful character.

**takes a deep bow**

Thank you all, for doing this.

Someone still there or am I alone with Sola?

Not likely we'd leave you alone with him for long
