Don't worry too much about what you name each section after the BEGIN, I may change that if I already use the word. Also CHARNAME should be in a [ ] but the board doesn't like showing that.

This is a preliminary count on the Sola-initiated flirts. I'm pondering how many there should be. Some of these do need a little re-working, but that's no problem :)

The difference in this from the other flirt pack is that these are started by Sola on a random timer, and each is a "one-shot", only occuring once.

Yes, I'm still working on this, no, I don't have an ETA. Blame Maxis for releasing a new expansion pack *grin*
And we do still need some spots filled in, if anyone has ideas, please post them in the flirt topic! :D

Does this mean that you can initiate flirts with Sola now? Is there anything like that in the latest Sola mod? If not, is it a separate Sola flirt pack? Is it not yet completed? Please tell me that it is!!! The sample flirts in this thread were marvelous! Where can I get the Sola flirts!? If you are still in need of flirts, please mention. I am a published fantasy novelist (Check out The Jewel of Tamar and Born of Evil, Born to Woe at amazon.), and I would be willing to contribute dialogs--though I know nothing of codes--if it will get a Sola flirt pack out there any faster!

Welcome, Sillara! I'm still working on the coding, though contributions are more than welcome for both the PC-initiated and Sola-initiated flirts. Please feel free to post any ideas/flirts in those areas if you come up with any. :)

Shadowcat: Check her last post in Sola-initiated flirts.
Also, bear in mind that flirts are still being written, and before the flirt pack is released at all Wes will have to look at everything written and select the flirts to be used, so Tsuru can't tell you when it will appear in the mod. If you're really impatient to see what has been written so far, you can ask her for a copy of all compiled flirts. :)

After the hectic fun of the last few months (going back to school, having to practically build a new computer from scratch..argh) I'm truly sorry that I don't have a beta of the flirt pack out yet. However, I *am* going to go back to work on getting the pre-alpha going, but I cannot give a time frame. Life tends to be unpredictable lately, so the gods only know when I'll actually finish Solaflirt v.1 :)
Thank you all for continuing to contribute, I *am* saving all flirts to the file I keep for that purpose and things will be added as I get the thing working ;)

Between this, the wait for Cailean, and exploring the Edwin mod, my mind and imagination have become so very overstimulated...;) *curls up in the naughty corner*
EDIT: *returns to the naughty corner* My mind kept wandering away from me today...wandering into some highly pleasant fantasies. *sigh* I swear, I spent forever just idly contemplating the amount of Naruto manga on the shelf in front of me, not to mention reading the same page of the Flame of Recca volume I was into at least 5 times...

um...hi, i'm new here, so i'm not exactly sure how to speak to you or whatnot.... I was just wondering, did the flirt pack die? From the date of the last post, it seems that it has. Please say it isn't so! Oh, and if it isn't dead, could you maybe make a beta version of the flirt pack available for testing maybe? Or is one already available? Have I just made a complete ass of myself? *sigh* oh well. now to commit seppuku to return my honor.

No, there is no beta available, not a public one at least. :-[ Last what I heat Tsuru had some major real life issues, but was still not willing to give the project for someone else to finish. I don't know if there has been any change to the situation since. :-\

As usual, the pack is not dead. Progress has mainly been handled via e-mail, which is why there's been no traffic on the boards.
Tsuru did mostly hand the reins over to a few other people, but RL and coding issues continue to slow things down. As usual, there's no ETA. We're very sorry for the long wait, but there's honestly been no avoiding it.

"Sighs". That is so...sad!!! :'( One forlorn cricket weeping in the corner - Solaufein would DEFINATELY be moved to poetry by this.
I wonder if a first version is nearly ready? I know that quality is important, but for Sola I would be willing to risk a few typos. :)

I know that there may be some angry responses...but I'm not unsympathetic to real life...believe me. When I see the 'Kari the Kobold' mod at COM coming along so fast and I see this and Calien...I just can't help but wonder if the mod is dying and no-one wants to admit it.
Please...a real progress report? Such as...is SOA portion done and there is only TOB? Or is there more to this mod than I realize? IE...A storyline about Sola and Phaerae??? (Ugh...let old loves die)

Luv, I do understand what you're talking 'bout. Honestly. But even a FlirtPack takes a lot of time, especially if you don't have that much time to work on it. I can only speak for myself, of course, but if you haven't worked on something for a long time, it takes some effort to get into things again (like understanding your own code).
But yeah, a pre-version would be nice indeed.

Those in charge of this flirt pack sent Wes an email with a bunch of questions awhile ago, though we haven't gotten a response from him, which probably means the email got lost somewhere. We've just sent him a duplicate email not too long ago... but the pack is pretty much on hold until certain questions get addressed. Thank you Rotschopf and others for the continued support.

Just me again, popping in to say hi. I do have a question, however. If Wes ever does get that email and you can get restarted on the flirtpack, how long do you guess it will take to finish? And will it be only flirts, or will any of the dialogues I found on a couple of these threads be added as well?

I know...sigh...I check back here frequently and now I wonder if I shouldn't just give up. It seems that if mods are "in progress" for more than a year or so they usually die. :'( And this is just a flirt pack, right? Not that it isn't work, but it is just filling in romantic gaps, so I'm surprised it is about 4 years in the making. That seems a bit extreme, to me.
(Minarvia prepares to see horrid remarks coming at her for daring to say such things even tho she hopes she's wrong about this mod dying.)

Hello there. I'm just writing to assure you, that there ARE people who are actually *dreaming* about this pack.. But 4 years! Ech, waiting, waiting, waiting... If you need help guys, and providing you with any will actually help to fasten this project, I'll be more than glad to do so. I also may work on Polish (since I'm a Pole...) translation for this, if you wish. Dear God, I can do ANYTHING if it'll help me to play this mode! You say it isn't dead, but truth is that there is no progress we, Sol's fans, can see. I doubt if there is any progress at all...? Anyway, I am oficially begging you in name of all Polish fans - at least do SOMETHING, or say that you don't want to work about it anymore...

I know how you feel, Alatariel, but I've about given up on this. I do realize about RL, but 4 years for a flirt pack? I am coming to doubt that any of us will live long enough to actually see this completed. Perhaps, if you know how to code, you or someone you know can do the pack? If so, many of us would JUMP at the chance to have it! But as for this one, I wouldn't hold my breath, I'm sad to say. However, Cailean is getting a big push for release, so I hope to be proven wrong here. If you haven't already, check out Cailean's progress at PPG and also, Aklon over at G3. He'll be released soon and sounds positively wonderful. They can help to tide us over, methinks!

I check it every once in a while, just for kicks. I'm probably going to be playing BG & BG2 until computers won't run it anymore because they're too fast, so when it comes out, it comes out. There are still about 700 variations I haven't tried, with a new one always on the horizon :)

Thanks, I am aware of this, as I read every previous post in this whole thread, however, I still wanted folks who visited this forum to know that interest is still alive and well. :) But thanks a lot! :) I am very excited that its not dead as I had once believed. :D
