The problem that I am having is that when I take the evil options in the 3rd pocket plane challenge the dark taint power Icon appears in the special abs bar, but the power doesn't work. My character goes thorugh the motions but no dmg is done and no saves are made. I assigned the power to Edwin with SK and it worked. So I tried to remove and assign dark taint to my character but it said that he had the memorized the maximum number of spells for that level. I also talked to the solar again and used only good respones and got Draw Upon Divine Might which worked. The only mods that I have installed currently are Weidu mods. Has anyone else had these problems and if so how did you fix them?

i've run into the same problem. But i've managed to narrow it down. Dark Taint works. but once you reach level 25 and it becomes a multi target spell it stops working. But no one wants to listen to people like us when we say the spell doesn't work

I suspect that changing the projectile from PSKULLT to TRAPSKUL (or any area effect projectile) would probably fix this.

well then I have fixed the bug, I changed the animation at level 25 to that of horrid wilting.
So before then you'll see the normal finger of death effect, but once you hit level 25 and dark taint effects multiple targets it changes to horrid wilting animation.

Ascension now features the Dark Taint fix you described (with credit given to you). Sorry for not saying something earlier. One reason for the delay is that Dark Taint (BHAAL2B.SPL) is not actually part of the Ascension mod (although it feels close, so this is a good place for the bugfix).

Presumably this bugfix also needs to go into UB, which also features the Bhaalspawn abilities.

Hey, I think there's a second (lesser) bug with dark taint. The description states that damage for the spell scales from 2d8 + 2/rnd to 8d8 + 6/rnd. In actual fact, it appears that the dmg per round is actually fixed at 3/rnd for all levels.
