Title: If you don't have InfExp v0.8b, go get it
Post by: jcompton on April 22, 2004, 12:23:38 PM
After, like, a year and a half, I caught Jemerov at the right moment and he agreed to publish InfExp 0.8b, with useful features. He's put it up on the Sourceforge page so no need to have it here anymore.

Thanks to persistent pinging by Jason Compton, I have released the version of Infinity Explorer that contains the changes I made after the release of version 0.75.

The main reason for this release is constant pinging by Jason Compton, so thank him if you find it useful.

From the irritation simmering beneath these words, I get the impression that you sat there and pinged him for one and half years solid. ;D I have a feeling this might be why Keto is also making a return...

But thanks, Jason!  :)

I'm torn, because I don't want to spoil my reputation for "motivation through insufferability" but Mr. Jemerov exaggerates a bit. I certainly pestered him pretty solidly for a few weeks back in 2002 to get him to make the initial changes, but after that I don't think I said too much of anything to him at all after that, I just sent out the beta version he made for me whenever people seemed to have need of it.

When Kismet pointed me to a thread earlier today about InfExp's shortcomings, it seemed high time to reestablish contact and try to find some sort of permanent solution.

Ditto on Blue, really... I just got this idea in my head and called her and, poof, here we are.

Well as they (mis)say, persistence is a virtue.

You are immortalised at any rate  ;D
