Although in many ways the beginning of the "PPG era" is marked by the beginning of work on Kelsey (in 2001), PPG itself was launched in a flurry of blood and spittle on March 31, 2004. Which means our tenth anniversary is fast approaching, and some sort of commemoration seems to be in order. I have no idea what that would look like, however.
Those of you who are still here and paying attention, got any clever ideas to help us celebrate?
-
Find out how many FWS members are still around and throw an online (unmoderated) party? Hehehe...
I heard Cuv was involved with EE. Other than that, I dunno.
And Happy early Anniversary, Jason!
-
Oh. Yay! We're ten years old!
(celebrates)
I'd release a mod, but I'm too deep in my SWTOR cups. By the way, may I nag you a bit about Nalia ToB? (Keto ToB, too, but I'm more partial to Nalia. The undressing scene is the best).

"blood and spittle.. " ;D Forgotten how funny you all are.
I have no suggestions for ways to celebrate.
Edit: Er, congratulations, of course!

I dunno. Surprise guests, maybe?

Yay, Blue! Congrats on winning the RPG contest!
You know, Keto is still and always a favorite(or, rather, a classic now), and people on BG boards comment on her with great fondness. If you and Jason ever decide to complete her, I'm sure you'll make lots of people very happy, whenever that happens.

can we have an anniversary party
at a roller rink
that's my idea
-
murder pact
-
host a livestream of an empty room
-
livestream of a camp fire while you recount the history of the great BG modding schism of '04
-
release new buttgolem npc mod

It really was about that nasty. Worse for some but to say it was merely contentious would be an understatement.
However, "murder pact" seems a bit extreme after so much time has passed.
-
Adding ToB content to some of the mods that are currently lacking it would fit nicely, I think. ;D
-
not exactly festive though

No doubt, no doubt, never got the finer points of it all but yes, it did seem to be a fairly serious schism within the modding community.
-
way too serious :(

Thanks Kulyok!
Keto does deserve finishing, even if only completion's sake. It's more motivating if there's actually still people clamoring for it, though. It's been so damn long.

I'm neither here nor paying attention, and I don't have any ideas.
But happy anniversary nonetheless. :-)

Aaaand, we're 10!
Pocket Plane Group turns 10 years old today, having launched the evening of March 31, 2004. Since then, hundreds of new mods have been developed for Infinity Engine games, and the games themselves have found their way onto platforms which didn't exist when we were starting out. Our work, and the contributions we've made to countless playthroughs during the past decade, remain an enormous source of pride. Thank you for your part in getting us this far, and we look forward to continuing to delight in the years ahead!
-
Congratulations! Your one of my three favorite mod communities evah!:P
Thanks to you many new players could jump into marvelous land of Sword Coast and Amn and live many new adventures of yet another and another Bhaalspawn:)

Fuck you, Echon. Your one mod doesn't get the glory here. And your piss statement will be noted, by me if no one else.
* while I realize it's a lot of feckless work, it hardly rises to ... bah, I need moar alcohol. But I didn't mean to diminish your selfless work

Too late, apparently. But in memoriam to you all: CHEERS!! Thank you, you people for making the mods and trying to develop the mods that we all play.
-
Late to the party, but... CONGRATULATIONS!!! ;D
Seriously, I want to thank you guys all for your hard work... I got to a point where I can't play neither BG2 or IWD1 without your mods. All of your works are on the par with BG2/IWD1 and that is tremendous accomplishment considering how good those base games are. LONG LIVE PPG! :)
