Title: Virtue for BG1Tutu
Post by: untouchable on April 13, 2004, 12:11:54 PM
Is it possible to create a Virtue mod for BG1Tutu?
That would be really awesome, currently the BG2 Virtue mod will install fine but won't really effect the gameplay in BG1.
Thanks.

Hmmmm.... suggesting work to a highly lazy modder with a project currently in the works... will it work?

It wouldn't actually be THAT much work. It's a possibility for the future, but no promises.

Saw the idea, but I prefer this new Virtue to be for BG1 alone + compatible in BGTUTU (haven't tried that yet tho).

BG1 doesn't have all the scripting commands that are present in BG2, so that may not even be possible.

Virtue has to be for Tutu, yeh.

Just wanted to add - it would be really great if we had virtue for tutu... I try to play through the saga with one character and half way "the rules" change... I could theoretically  skip virtue in BG2 to have uniform rules, but honestly I can't ;D

I strongly advocate the necessity of Virtue as a TuTu Mod. Mainly because it adds to the sense of continuation, once you move to Baldur's Gate 2 and mostly because it addresses the same, big problem of the inconsistency of Bioware's reputation system. SimDing0, I know you have a limited amount of time and many projects in your hands but please let me clone you... ;D

I suspect Sim may not be opposed to another person assisting with the task, or even taking it on entirely :).

I believe Sim's priority at the moment is TBH.

Had some similar ideas (http://forums.gibberlings3.net/index.php?showtopic=8199) for Tutu (before I heard about Virtue) I thought I'd cross-reference here.  Though my original ideas were based mainly around making thievery (and suspicion) more realistic, perhaps there are elements within Virtue one could steal swipe pinch er "leverage" to accomplish something similar? ;D
