In my other disguise, I organize an annual retro computing expo.
Over the course of the day, an elaborate rickroll was created on a very old computer.

Cool. :)

Very! (Do you folks do ASCII games in BASIC, too? I want to relive the days of TRS-80...)

There is a standout game designer who still works primarily in character graphics, and exclusively in BASIC, for the unexpanded (5 kilobyte) VIC-20.

Jeff Daniels is the most fascinating game developer I have ever encountered. His games are way more fun and way more polished than they have any right to be.

If I were to choose one game out of these(just to feel what it's like): http://sleepingelephant.com/denial/games/ , which one would you recommend for me?

Only You is the one that got me. Not because it's tremendously different from other puzzle games of that type, but because of what he manages to convey in the tiny, tiny space allocated--it's not just a puzzle game, you're matching up loving couples. (In an abstract 5 kilobyte sense.) Other good choices are Game Theory or Ten Ten. You'll need a Commodore VIC-20 emulator in order to play them, though.

I should try it some time. :)
