Title: Dragonlance novels
Post by: Kulyok on June 22, 2009, 11:45:31 AM
I started reading Dragonlance novels today, and they are good and readable, but more than a little boring and slow. Will it get better? And if yes, are there any tomes in particular I should read?

It has been ten years since I read any of these but I do remember that some of them were a lot better than the rest. Chronicles and Legends are the best, as far as I recall. The Legend Of Huma and Kaz The Minotaur, from Heroes, were also good.

That is, ten years ago.

I had the same experience with Dragonlance that I've had with a few other fantasy series, such as Wheel of Time and LOTR.

Book 1: Read it, said "Well, okay, that was pretty decent. I wonder what you've got in store for Book 2?"

Book 2: Got 100 pages in and said, "Not very much, it would seem."

Both Chronicles and Legends are a series of books so you will have a bit to read.
