Title: Anyone want to help the noobie?
Post by: Fonzie_37 on August 29, 2008, 09:38:32 PM
Well I've been a serious fan of BGII for years and I truly think it's the best game ever. When I saw this mod on Youtube, I just knew I had to have it. Unfortunately, I know nothing about mods. And I mean NOTHING. Never even installed a mod before.

If you've ever felt like feeling truly superior about something, if you could tell me how to install and run this mod, then I would love you more than life itself(that might be taking it a little too far.)

So...
Who wants to explain?

So...
Who wants to explain?
1) Download
2a) If an EXE file run and tell it where your game directory is at
2b) If an ZIP file extract into your game directory (or extract elsewhere and copy contents into game directory)
3) Run file called Setup-DungeonBeGone.exe now found in your game directory
4) Answer language question
5) Press I to install each desired component as it is asked
6) When it stops press ENTER
7) Play your game, but talk to Jasper. Get Jaheira or Minsc first if you want them.

At least that's how it's done on Windows.  If you've got a different OS, sorry I can't help you....

Vista is still Windows so I don't think there would be much difference.

The game directory is where your baldur.ini, dialog.tlk baldur.exe and the override directory are located.
