Title: Video Capture Please?

Hi everyone--I'm Melissa, the voice of Nella for this new mod--I was wondering if anyone would be so kind as to make a few video captures of their game play in which the characters speak? I do not own the game and would like to be able to see how the final product turned out.

I'd like to join the plea here: folks, if not for Melissa's timely intervention(she voiced over a hundred lines in two days, and delivered excellent material!), IWD NPC would still be in limbo. So, if you've got a few minutes, please, make a short clip - let the lady see what it looks like. We'll be grateful. :)

Ah, but it doesn't work for me: my DirectX must be lower than this(and the hardware wouldn't support the required ones). I'm getting .avi files, but there's no picture whatsoever, and almost no sound.

Mmmm-mm. *sigh* I totally suck at this. This time it recorded 225mb of one screenshot and no sound. Damn.

I'll try and give it a try tonight or tomorrow (time permitting, my father-in-law just got here for a short visit!  :D ).

I got it!!!!  Was a though nut to crack, but I finally got the thing working, and running, and have both sound and image!!  Yay!  Not as easy as it sounds...  First the game would crash, then all I had was video with no sound...
But I got it working, so I'll post a link as soon as I manage to tweak the video so that it's a tad smaller than 302 407 Kb!... ;D

PS. Kulyok, that took time off my translatin'... ;)

Okies, so I managed to shoot my first video, and compressed it.  The only place I managed to find to upload it is You Tube, so it's here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qj2PqdQcbjY).  Poor image quality, but I'm starting to get the hang of it, so hopefully future videos will be a bit better.

Now if I could only figure out why every time I try to open the avi file on my computer, explorer crashes... ::)


Edit: Hopefully better quality here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwcmSGavSLQ).  Maybe I shouldn't compress it, but I'm afraid the file'll be too big afterwards... :(
More videos to come with more voicing as I get around to it.

PS. For those of you who couldn't get the sound working, make sure your microphone isn't muted...  That was my problem. ;D

I'd say out of all the voices, nella's seemed, hmm, the clearest recorded, It's hard to explain but if you listen to all the voices you might see what I'm getting at.
