Title: Opinions needed
Post by: icelus on March 25, 2006, 11:46:15 AM
So, I really want to wrap up the mod, for the initial release, at least.  I still need to get people beta testing to see how much stuff I've broken and I need to get busy on the Tutu conversion (which really shouldn't take long at all).

There are still a number of things left that could be restored, but many of them I just don't know how to go about doing it properly.

So, of the following list, which entries do you guys think really need to be in the first release?  And, if you think they should be included, do you have any suggestions for the best way to do so?

Alternate Candlekeep Catacomb entrance (http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php/topic,21713.0.html)
No.

Smuggled into Baldur's Gate (http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php/topic,20149.0.html)
This is already in the game. The whole point is that you pay him to lead you past treachery, only to find out nobody gives a shit. He even points out what a fool you are when you get to the city gates.

Eldoth's Reminders (http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php/topic,21827.0.html) (partially coded from BGT Tweak)
Extended Brage Quest (http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php/topic,20148.0.html)
Branwen and Tranzig Interaction (http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php/topic,21835.0.html)
Yeslick and Rieltar Interaction (http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php/topic,21836.0.html)
If you want. It's more a tweak.

Deagan, Aldeth Sashenstar's Messenger (http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php/topic,21767.0.html)
Keelor and Nasha (http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php/topic,21634.0.html)
Rededge (http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php/topic,21828.0.html)
Scar and the Sashenstar's Daughter (http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php/topic,21792.0.html) (I'll probably try and include this)
Mal-Kalen, the Ulcaster Revenant (http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php/topic,21635.0.html)
Svlast, the Fallen Paladin (http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php/topic,21636.0.html)
I'd pick the 2 or 3 easiest and stick them somewhere. I've been so busy lately that I haven't even been able to think about BG1, unfortunately.

Restored The Original Saga Music Sequences (http://forums.pocketplane.net/index.php/topic,21874.0.html)
It'd take all of 5 seconds, so why not?

Yeah, but... I don't know what the fuck I'm doing with MUS files, though.

I think what's done already would be fine for a first release.

Yeh. I don't think any of these particularly need to be in the first release.

However, there are a couple that I'd like to see included at some point:

It's been years since I looked at this sequence, but I seem to remember it looking like they were meant to arrest you when you left the library, and if we both reached this conclusion, it can't be coincidence. If nothing else, I think it'd be a nice option to have.

I think this is quite a neat encounter.

I like both of them, too, I just don't really know how to code either of them.  The Fallen Paladin encounter wouldn't be too hard, I guess,  but I just don't think I have the patience to work on it right now.  Yes, yes, I know that's a shitty excuse.  :(
