Title: Spears and Sensible weapons for tutu
Post by: Drew on June 19, 2005, 06:22:04 PM
I have sensible weapon proficiencies for tutu installed and noticed that the class unusable flags haven't been removed from spears. Currently, AoE is the last mod in my install order.  Also, the longbow description says that it isn't usable by thieves, but it actually is.  If you want to see my weidu log, let me know. ;D

OK.  I fixed it myself kinda.  I went ahead and installed sensible weapons for mods and then put sensible weapons for tutu on top of that.  That fixed the problem with sorcerors et. al, but the strings are still inaccurate when displaying unusable values for spears and long bows that I've seen so far.  I noticed another interesting thing as well and don't know if this is a tutu problem, a left over BG1 problem  or an AoE problem.   Bows, Crossbows, and slings don't apply non-proficiency penalties.  At all.  Thrown and melee weapons provide the proper penalties.  I've got all the patches and baldurdash installed prior to tutu.  If this last part is actually a tutu problem then sorry for posting in the wrong forum. :-\

Yeah, the non-proficiency thing with missile (non-thrown) weapons is a bug with BG2 that, as far as I know, is unsolvable.

Other than that, is it good, or still broken?

It works great now.  I just needed to have sensible weapons for mods installed.  Also, it needs to be installed before  sensible weapons for tutu.  I guess that means that there still is a minor bug with sensible weapons for tutu not updating spears at all and failing to properly update the description strings for longbows and composite long bows properly.  If that's all I can find, though, then I would consider that a good thing! ;D
