i know this is a stupid question but could someone tell me what to do everytime i try to get a mod to work it says it cannot find dialog.tlk even though the files are right next to eachother ive tried moving things around but nothing seems to work its getting on my nerves and im horrible with computers could someone help me plz thanks.

Well, with DBG, if that's happening, stop changing the installation directory it suggests, as it automatically tries to install itself in your BG2 directory and run from there.

For other mods that aren't in a convenient self-installer, you must extract the entire mod to your BG2 play directory. This is the directory that contains bgmain.exe and dialog.tlk.

i havent changed anything and ive tried dungeon begone as well every mod i try to install says error cant find dialog.tlk ive tried taking the game uninstaling deleting all components manually then reinstalling and it still does it i dont understand cause the one mod i got to work before uninstalling now says the same thing when i try to put it back on cannot find dialog.tlk

nm finally figured it out needed to install a program on my com to fix the whole deal thanks for all the help though
