Thank you so much for the info! I'll definitely give it a try. BTW, what is the  Level1NPC mod? And, do you have to use it with level 1 characters? I'm about half way thru BG2 and don't want to start over. I'm just tired of Imoen getting us blown up because she isn't finding the traps like she did in BG1 lol!

Thanks again,

Karen  :)

Totally forgot about it, should've mentioned it firsthand.

No Shadow Keeper for MAC, unfortunately.

You'll just have to use Near Infinity. First , backup the save you want to edit, open the relevant save, open Baldur.gam, and on the top left corner you'll see your party members' names. Place the cursor above the one you wish to edit and then click View/Edit. On the topmost of the new window, switch the View tag to Edit, and then scroll all the way down to "CRE file". Step on it and click View/Edit. In the new window you should see all the thieving skills and other categories you may want to edit. Change them to your liking. Close the opened windows, and after you try to move away from the Baldur.gam, it'll ask you if you wish to Save or Discard the changes. Choose Save Changes. That should do it.

Thank you! Unfortunately, when I opened it - it turned out to be an exe and I'm on a Mac. Is there a Mac version?

Thanks again,

Karen :)

I was recently told about near infinity and was wondering if it is possible to return Imoen to the thieving stats she had at the end of BG1. I hate the fact that they changed her into a mage to begin wiuth, but what's worse is that they reduced her to a level 7 thief and took away most of her abilities. At the end of BG1 she had over 120 on finding traps  and 150 on opening locks, etc. I'd love to be able to give her back her abilities - she's terrible at finding traps now! Is this possible and, if so, how can I do it? I'm not much of a techie and it took me over 15 minutes just to figure out how to "fix" the paladin sword to the 12 dice lol!

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Karen :)
