I've always had a sort of romantic, nostalgia for the flavor of 1e Druids.  I've always considered them more as mystics than actual priests.  Thus I've sought to include some of the 1e spells (and additional ones too) for use with IE druids.

Using IEEP v1.07 spell maker, I had sucessfully converted several mage spells to druid spells (some were straight conversions while others were modified some) in my IWD: HOW game.  These spells include sleep, slow poision, nuetralize poison, blizzard (ice storm) and a few others I can't think of right now (and several more planned).

So here I am, trying to add sleep to Jaheira's spell list with a priestly candle of knowledge, and sleep always shows up in her mage spell book (which, of course, she can't use).

Before anyone asks, yes I set the spell type to priest and the priest settiing to Druid/Ranger.  So I can't figure out why this is happening.  I've also found that some other routine mods that worked in IWD don't seem to work (or even cause game crashes) in BG1 (??????).

Is there some reason for this, is BG1 not open to certain mods, while other games are??  I could really use some help on this.
