As the FAQ states, yes, you do need Tales of the Sword Coast to play this mod. If you try to install FotD on Baldur's Gate with the expansion, a weapons platform in outer space will shoot your brother with something sharp. Depending on your perspective, this may be desirable.

You know, if you've actually bought and own a game, movie, album, etc then it's perfectly legal to download yourself a new copy.  Of course I'm not going to tell you where you can do that, but if you know much about the internet it should be fairly obvious ;).

I belong in that group of people who read the site, so I didn't miss it. However, you might not have heard the comments I have about them. Colour me impressed by them! :) And I see they also match really well with the existing BG1 areas.

I am sure Max will appreciate your feedback. :)

So there is a wasteland north of Baldur's Gate? I never knew that (I don't excel in FR geography either, so I assume there is one, now that I have seen those maps).

Not really wasteland. The Fields of the Dead is mostly a big, flat area of plains and heath. The site of The Battle of Bones is more akin to badlands, however. At least, that is what I made it. There are a few rocky locations here and there along the Sword Coast. You may remember the area with the basilisks, Durlag's Tower or some of the areas south-east of the Nashkel Mines.

No. It would not make much difference either. These areas are already empty, there is nothing but the background image. :)

Yes. You will be travelling to The Fields of the Dead region, more specifically to an area called The Battle of Bones, which you will learn more about ingame.

A month ago, when I was still without a forum, I included these two previews of some of the new areas that the mod will feature in a newspost on the site. A lot of people probably missed them so here they are.

The forum is decreasing their size so click here to open them in a new window: http://echon.cyg.dk/bgmod/FotD01.jpg & http://echon.cyg.dk/bgmod/FotD02.jpg
