I'll just put this here because it fits: More praise for this mod at BeamDog's Forums.

Had quite the dilemma as of late. I couldn't stand Pillars of Eternity any longer, and while I've never played BG2, but I was trying to get into it and grew frustrated. It seems my Infinity Engine skills have grown quite rusty! I have played BG1 to death, but I miss the low level stuff, and wanted to ease myself back into it. Which reminded me of Icewind Dale. Sadly... I REALLY wanted the party interaction I've come to love from Dragon Age, and I hear BG2 has...

...and then I heard of this mod. EXCELLENT JOB! I'm not very far, but I can honestly say I enjoy the companions immensely. This is coming from a guy who has played the entire Fallout and Dragon Age series as well as KOTOR and a few others. The companions in this mod ROCK. They feel so much more REAL than anybody in Fallout 4/New Vegas/Dragon Age 2/Pillars/Neverwinter 2, etc. etc. You guys did a fantastic job creating an adventuring party that fit the lore, and just feels like something that real players would put together.

For once... I don't strongly dislike any of the companions. Instead of being boring stereotypes, they feel like actual sentient beings, instead of an idea cooked up by folks who haven't really dealt with real people. I recently read through the Icewind Trilogy again, and while your heroe's aren't as epic, I really feel like they could live and breathe in the same world as Drizzt and Wulfgar and the like. Just fantastic job, and I am hugely thankful for all of the hard work that was put into it! I can't criticize anything, it all just meshes together so well with Icewind Dale. I really feel like I'm going on an adventure with companions. Its getting me pretty pumped up to play BG2 for the first time.

Naturally I must beat this first and see how everything plays out. (Gonna call my party the "Love Boat' with all their dang flirting....Buncha children I swear. ;) )
