*bump* to make this findable, as a casual peruser of this forum might mistake v236 for the most recent version, since that thread is higher up.  (I apologize of this is contrary to forum protocol.)

Hi!

I put binary .deb packages of WeiDU 238 for Debian and derivatives on my server:
http://www.dotslashplay.it/ressources/infinity-engine/

I’ll try to keep providing up-to-date packages when new versions come out, but no real promises about this.

I cannot recall WeiDU ever being infected. It should be safe to assume that these are false positives.

I contacted Avast support and they whitelisted weinstall.exe. Hope it will decrease the confusion :)

So, folks, you sure 238 for Win package is safe? Because my Avast reports it as infected as well, while 237 for Windows is downloadable ok. Guess I'll check tomorrow on a rig with kaspersky to be sure.

Thanks for speedy and accurate answer Jarno, like always. Now, the reason why I downloaded and installed newest Weidu you may find interesting. I'm fed up with vanilla BG:TOS problems and crushes so I'm going to adventure up and down Sword coast EE style. And I have perfect kit for it, Moon knight paladin from your mega mod kits. I tried  to convert it to work in EE using weidu exe and renaming it but the kit is grey and unusable in kit selection. I tried reading instructions in lib kit ee folder but I'm afraid that exceeds my limited mental abilities.  :)
This is a known feature in the newer versions of the Enhanced Edition games and I can make a work around, but it involves a new archive, and I would prefer to send a link via a PM and not this thread. So if you are still interested, could you please contact me here, in Spellhold or in G3 via a PM. K, so I uploaded a beta to this post.

Sorry Wisp for the offrail topic taking.

Mmm, I'm sure that is false alarm guys, but when I downloaded newest weidu 238 for windows and installed it on my computer my AVIRA antivirus program went berserk, arrested weinstall.exe  and tolower.exe and put them in the quarantine under charge that they harbor TR/ATRAPS.Gen trojan. Just to let you know...
This is because the AVIRA doesn't know what it's doing, it doesn't show all the older versions of the weidu.exe being infested because it's programmers have told it to be harmless because people have reported the previous versions to be safe despite it containing a function that some viruses use to do bad things. Like being capable of copying files ... yes, that very simple example of what is actually going on under the hood, but it should be sufficient.

Here goes the Mac OSX version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/npg25on1i392tvu/WeiDU-Mac-238.zip?dl=0
So this happens when I use the version I've uploaded...
Code: [Select]
WhiteRings:_override Nico$ weinstall
-bash: /usr/bin/weinstall: Malformed Mach-o file
Whoooohoooo! I officially broke something without even knowing!
Before anything else, I blame aliens and point a new compile (I've tested it this time): https://www.dropbox.com/s/npg25on1i392tvu/WeiDU-Mac-238.zip?dl=0
