Thanks so much for the console codes. I'll try it with those first and the the after I've had my, uh, Xan fix, I'll replay as intended. :D

It's all right, we've just got different opinions on the subject. If you feel frustrated, you can choose to activate the console and type
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("O#XanRomanceActive","GLOBAL",2)
for the bonded romance or
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("O#XanRomanceActive","GLOBAL",1)
for the unbonded one.
This way you'll enjoy the romance, though Xan will call you an elf a few times.

I'm sorry if I sound rude but I don't understand why he is restricted at all. My human female adventured with him through the entire first game, haven't they gotten to know each other well enough already? I guess I am just bummed that I can't have romance my favourite companion until ToB. :-\

You can get a romance for a non-elf, if you stay friends throughout BG2, and then talk about romance in ToB. It's a close friendship that becomes a "future romance"(race no longer matters because Xan and PC know each other so well).

 :(
Why is his romance restricted only to an elf?

No problem Kulyok, I'm glad I could help ;)

I know that Assasinations mod was translated into Polish too, so I will check it and see if it installs smoothly. If not, I'll recode .tra's and send them to you.

Xan now has seven translation options - English, regular French, Polish, and Russian, and French/Polish/Russian for EE. This is a temporary measure, I hope to make it more convenient in the future. I just wanted our players to enjoy BG2EE with Xan in their own language for the time being.

Absolutely HUGE thanks to Cahir, who converted the Polish files for me, and Eleima, who did the same with the French files.

V13 should have BG2:EE support for all languages. ATTENTION: French, Polish and Russian BG2EE users should choose their language "for ENHANCED EDITION".

This update is for Enhanced Edition players only, French/Polish/Russian languages only. English users and normal BG2 users need not update.

(French and Polish translations are still incomplete, but as long as you're not playing the happy ending for the bonded path, you should have the translation).
