Okay, conditions added, updated silently, and this is no longer an issue in v11.

It's me, again x))
Is it normal for male PC to have a dialog about breaking elven bond in TOB? In player-initiated dialogs.

You start a new ToB game with a female elven PC without Xan in party and either summon a "bring my dead lover, Xan" and it starts a tragic path, or your soulmate, and it starts a happy path. "Former lover" starts a non-bonded ToB path, and just summoning Xan is friendship path.

Okay, question re the tragic ending - I played through w/Xan bonded and saved to get both the happy ending and the tragic.  I lost those games.  Don't really feel like playing through again at this time (wanna try the non-bonded path).  How can I start a new TOB, tragic ending (if at all possible)?

There is only one Kivan's conversation that gets blocked if Coran's, Xan's or Ajantis' romance is active - a dance after the Bandit camp. Otherwise, Kivan friendship proceeds as follows, Xan romance doesn't stop the code, it's just there are very few conversations. Try to have him in the party at sunset.

I have another question. I'm sorry, i don't want to make a new topic for it.
It's about Xan and Kivan.
It is sounds strange, but is there any conflicts (technical) for Xan romance and Kivan frienship in BG1?  ???

Now I'm playing BG1 romance with Xan. We have a dialog about first kiss and it is so sweeet. Unfortunately, there is a problem.
Before I take Xan in the party, we have a lovely friendship with Kivan.  But, after Nashkel he(Kivan) is keeping silience for many days(have dialogs only with NPC). And it's very pity.
Returning for the situation with first kiss. I try different answers to see different Xan reaction, and one of them led to break romance. And after dialog was over, Kivan start a conversation with me!
I don't no what to do! I want to have romance with Xan, but i want to have friendship with Kivan too.=(

PS:I know, that Kivan is Domi's character.

Thank you for your attention!

It will work, and you will have the opportunity, but "future romance" doesn't mean you start a romance right away, it means you both are open to it, and are considering it, but long after this business is done. This is reflected in the epilogue, and there will be conversations about it, but not as many as 'normal' conversations - about the quests, about Xan's and PC's mothers, about other things. And you'll have to show interest through player-initiated dialogue first.

Hello and welcome to PPG!

Okay, a long answer here. There is only one romance for Xan for BG1 - from BG1 NPC Project(most of it mine, but some lovely dialogues were written by Domi).

Xan's BG1 Friendship has friendship dialogues only(there are about twenty of them), and they are quite different from the romance dialogues. In short, if you choose friendship in BG1, you become good and true friends, maybe best friends, even. (If your female PC is elven or half-elven, she has to break off romance early to enjoy the friendship path).

There is no big difference between friendship dialogues for male and female PCs in BG1(except maybe one or two reply).

With BG2, there is more choice. There are three paths, and each has completely different dialogues(except for several plot-related ones).
- if you played the ROMANCE path from BG1, you can play the bonded path from BG2(elven female only, two endings: tragic one in SoA(Bodhi), or happy one in ToB).
- if you played the FRIENDSHIP path from BG1, you can play the non-bonded romance path from BG2(elven female only, breakup mid-romance, happy ending in ToB, some ToB dialogues are written by SisterVigilante, and they're great)
- if you played the FRIENDSHIP path from BG1, you can also play the friendship path, and yes, there are some BIG differences between a friendship path for a female PC and a male PC. Namely, you can choose "future romance" path in ToB if you're a female PC, and get a different epilogue. So you can be friends with Xan through BG1-SoA-ToB, and plan your future as lovers in the end.

And you're very welcome. :)

Thank you for your answer!
If I start new ToB game(with Xan in my party) will I have the opportunity of "friendship future romance"?
and would it work, if I have epic friendship from BG1-SoA-ToB and have romance with someone else?

There are two answers to this one:

- in BG1, you can romance Xan as a half-elf, but after a certain point this path will be cut off and the romance ends due to Xan fearing he won't survive your death or something of the sort(Domi's idea);

- in BG2, if you pick a friendship path, you can choose "future romance" path in ToB - by that point, you are his best friend and you're so close it won't matter if you're a gnome or a half-orc, because he knows you so well he'll love you anyway.

For any romance, you have to be a female elf, correct?  I remember seeing once that there had been thought for a non-bonded path for non-elven.

Sorry if these questions have already been discussed.
1.Is there a differance between Xan romance in BG1NPSproject and romance path in BG1 Xan's friendship mod?
2. And is there any difference between male friendship path and female friendship path in BG1-SOA-TOB?

Also, THANK YOU very much for Xan's mods! I am in love with him for already 12 years x))
